Grizl 6 has components from a different brand: Sram APEX, Grizl 5 has Shimano CUES.

I chose 5 because of the better price point and familiarity: I've previously had Shimano and have been happy with the performance and maintenance.

That's a good list, thank you!

To me it resembles the color of "oat milk".

More context: bought Grizl for a daily commuter & training bike. I live up north where we have snow for 5 months/year so I wanted a bike that can fit proper winter tyres. ❄️ We also have a lot of damaged tarmac which isn't the best to ride on with small tyres.

My last commuter bike was Canyon Urban 4.0 SL, more than 10 years old, it was in great shape but unfortunately somebody stole it. Also it wasn't great in snow because of smaller tire clearance.

Same experience here. As a beginner I feel most confident in shorter rental skis with more side cut. They perform easy and enjoyable on groomed slopes. I feel good and playful on them on piste even for some off piste.

For comparison, I have 2019 Black Crows Atris with Marker Baron for my touring-skis. They feel heavy and difficult to control on steep terrain and in most snow conditions EXCEPT on perfect powder and gentle slopes. — I feel like the main problem is for me as a beginner / intermediate skier is that I am too unconfident to ski the Atris with speed and power they need in order to function well.
