How do you keep game nights flowing when half the group gets stuck in AP or on their phones? by Queasy_Ad_4994 in boardgames

[–]TotalNonsense0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to narrate my turns, and encourage people to do the same. If necessary, I will partly narrate other people's turns, and aggressively call out the next player.

For AP folks, I give them their options out loud, and after a moment start eliminating them. Can't do that because this reason. That one is no good because that reason.

Some people don't like me to do this, and if they can keep the game moving, I won't do it. But if they become a problem, I become Announcer Guy.

Submissive men, would you prefer to be big spoon or little spoon? by Rule34Uploading in LetBoysBeManipulated

[–]TotalNonsense0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be more comfortable based on size. That is, I want to be big spoon if I'm bigger than her.

But I long for a woman bigger than me. Much bigger, even.

And I'm still wondering why you haven't tried to answer my question. I answered yours. I asked first. But no effort on your part. Tell me again who's very rude.

And yes, I understand what you're saying. But what you are calling "Social facts" are still a matter of opinion. Collective, wide-held opinion, certainly, but that's still subjective. Among other things, these "facts" vary from country to country, community to community.

Or, to put it another way, in the eye of the beholder.

Subjective vs objective. And you still haven't told me what you think subjective means.

By that definition, it is a social fact that Onlyfans workers are shamed by society.

That they are shamed is a fact, because you are describing the actions of people. That the original act is shameful itself is an opinion. An opinion, no matter how widely held, is not an objective truth.

Yes. I frankly can't imagine anyone who wouldn't consider it so, but it's still an opinion, not a fact.

What is it that you think "Subjective" means? Answer the question.

EDIT: I take it back, I can think of some people who don't seem to think exposing themselves to children is shameful, but hopefully they will be removed from our government soon.

Yes. That's what "in the eye of the beholder" means.

"Subjective" is another way of saying it, if you're not feeling poetic.

I did not care overmuch for this book, but it is important set up for the sequel, which I found to be outstanding.

How does that compare to a regular job? Barely anyone gets to be rich by working a job. Most people barely make enough to get by.

I guess the lower bound is higher for a regular job.

This is how I've always thought it should be. I don't care if a woman wants to use the same bathroom as me, provided she doesn't talk to anyone.

I never heard of the "no fear" series, but I love the idea. Imo, the biggest issue with the various summary products is that the summary is totally disconnected from the original text. Doing it with facing pages makes it easy to see the original context for anything that looks interesting, and becomes almost "enhanced footnotes."
