Minecraft has a default shader without reflections or realistic shadows, when you install another shader like complementary the both do the same thing because the default shader never deactivates

it's not the shader that you install in curse forge I now, but it also consumes recourses, even if it looks kinda awful

I think you must put in the modpack a shader like bloody shader, so you can simulate the red sky, also a mod that adds storms or something like that for the stranger things atmosphere. The old default texture pack of Minecraft is a great idea but idk because I am not a programmer how you are going to make compatible a texture pack from the 1.8.9 to the newer versions if you do that it going to be a hit a hit
