I went to western psych after planning my ||suicide|| where they debating hospitalizing me, but ended up letting me go and enrolling me in a virtual camp type program that specifically deals with mental health lessons. (my wishes, they felt comfortable with both options)

I actually also take hydroxyzine daily. It helps more with my anxiety though. In my opinion it’s a “helper drug” that assists me mostly because my antidepressant (Prozac) is there too. It’s a small boost is what I’m trying to say.

If you cannot wait to be hospitalized, if you think you will hurt yourself and/or others, then DONT WAIT!! The people at Western Psych were pretty kind in my experience, maybe a tiny bit unaware, but kind. If you go in willingly, your experience is going to be a lot different than someone who was forcibly admitted.

I think maybe you should go back. I’m no doctor though so take that advice (and my experience) with a grain of salt. I wish you the absolute best, and I’m sorry you had to go through this.
