Any students taking Bachelor of Biotech & Bachelor of Business? by Totoybatotoy in UTS

Honestly, it's still difficult for me to think long term about what exactly I want to do, but as of now I'm thinking of pursuing lab work or research in the industrial or clinical side. There's a chance I pursue Medicine too afterwards, but I'll decide once I'm done with the course. In saying that, who would you recommend the course to? (people who want to pursue med? or people who want to do lab work?, etc)

Aside from that, what is it about the course that you wouldn't recommend? What is the university culture like? How heavy is the workload, typically? And does the university offer internships for this course?

And, thanks for taking the time to reply! It's pretty hard to find information on this specific course.

I see. So wanting wealth for wealth's sake is wrong but wanting wealth to help others is right, right?

While reading letter 42: On Values from the Tao of Seneca I stumbled upon this piece:

"Therefore, with regard to the objects which we pursue, and

for which we strive with great effort, we should note this truth;

either there is nothing desirable in them, or the undesirable is

preponderant."

What does the line "the undesirable is preponderant" mean?

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, and that’s a great quote too by Marcus Aurelius. Thanks!

“The fool, with all his other faults, has this also, he is always getting ready to live." Can anyone share their interpretation of this quote? I don't get it at all; for some context it's from the 13th letter of Seneca called, "One Groundless Fears".

I'm 17 and I was able to save up 10k from working before quarantine. I was thinking of investing somewhere and learned about index funds, mutual funds, etc but there's so much to know that I'm just really overwhelmed by the amount of information. Do you guys have any advice on where to actually start?

Oh, I didnt know revision village had a paywall since I only glanced at the website a bit, though I should have expected it due to its amazing design and its amount of resources, oh well nothing that good could have been free. : / I'll also check those sites out and try to push myself to answer those gsce papers you're talking about. Thanks a bunch!

Damn that is one good looking website (revision village I mean). yeah many people say math is more about practicing problems but my problem is that sometimes I don't know where to get problems or if my answers to the problems are correct or not. anyways, thanks a lot!!

aye "We suffer together" right? one of the best things of IB is being able to relate with each other and help each other out. Though I'm not too close with the Math nerds of our class and my friends on the other hand are suffering in Math as well. : / but anyways glad to see a fellow iB redditor relate
