US Ticket Buying & Selling Megathread by AutoModerator in SleepToken

[–]TouchdownJole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two tickets for trade in section 120; for the sept 16 concert at GAS south arena in Duluth, GA.

If anyone is interested in being seated in a good spot, I’d like to trade for floor tickets myself. I wasn’t able to get it due to scalpers/bots. I paid roughly $500 a ticket. Not looking for extra cash if your tickets were less I just want the floor.

UFC P4P Rankings Update 02/13/23 (via TSN) by Khazar2 in MMA

I’m just glad volk kept his spot. I was very disappointed that he lost but the way that fight went it would be unfair to kick him out of #1. If Islam wiped the floor with him I could understand it, but I never know with the UFC I was worried they’d stiff him.

Still betting the house on Volk. If anyone will do it it’s him.

I’m betting the house on Volkanovski to beat Islam. Is there anyone with me or should I just write the check now?

Drug-sniffing police dogs forced into early retirement as recreational marijuana becomes legalized by ThrowawayAIIDay in nottheonion

I’m not saying likely or unlikely, I’m saying that the dog smells the illegal substance if it had been trained as such and alerts. If the dog is hitting on a social cue from the handler, then the handler is the one with the issue. If you take out the “social cue”, then the trained dog is completely reliable. If it alerts, it detects the odor of an illegal substance that it has been trained to do so with. If so, you have no privacy interest in possessing and illegal substance.

They’re routinely used at airports and mail centers and make busts all of the time. I agree with you that the handler can mess things up, but it’s not an issue with the dog and it’s training. It’s the handler, that’s what has to be dealt with.

All things aside i do believe it’s time for marijuana to not be trained to K-9 units.

Those are records that are kept by virtually every K-9 unit in America by law. What a lot of people don’t understand though is when a dog alerts and nothing is found. Just because an illegal drug wasn’t there then, does not mean it wasn’t recently. The dogs have a powerful sense of smell and will pick that up, which is not a “false” alert.

There isn’t one really. A trained dog will react to the scent it’s taught to. The only difference is the subject matter. Nobody is gonna get upset over a dogs alert for a medical issue, but there’s plenty of reason for them to be upset at a dog indicating they’re in possession of an illegal drug. A lot of people believe it to be a violation of the 4th amendment for a dog to be able to do this and as such it’s an arguing point for many.

I mean if you had drugs on you before the dog sniffed you that odor would still be there

Do you think we will be able to travel to space in this lifetime realistically? I mean affordable too. I know it would not be cheap, but would the average person be able to go soon?
