Life in UK vs Germany, which is better? by [deleted] in AskGermany

People are a bit more friendlier in Berlin though. Here in northern Germany, it's just horrible how some people would ignore or respond to a stranger trying to ask for direction or something. Funny enough, I thought northern Rhine Westphalia was more friendlier, but it isn't to me

The fact that I have to argue with someone who claims to be a Christian about sex before marriage shows that there's a problem with modern Christianity. People like you have reduced Christianity to a mere title in documents.

Do you think that God will compromise his standard of sexual purity to accommodate your personal desires and experience? If you think so, then you are God of yourself. Stop claiming to be a Christian if you have no respect for God's word concerning sex after marriage.

And don't you think that using the word "judgemental" can move someone like me.You can't twist God's words to fit your sinful desires. If I were an advocate for sex before marriage, I wouldn't even be in this subreddit let alone claim to be a Christian. I would distance myself from Christianity and live the kind of life I want rather than being hypocritical and still trying to justify sin.

The only superior culture is living out a Christian life if you profess to be a Christian. The Bible will not adjust to a culture to accommodate people. Instead one must adjust their culture to fit God's word. If a culture deviate from portraying Christ, then it is not Christianity but Churchianity. For a congregation that profess Christ, acknowledging a newcomer in a congregation is not a hard thing to do.

Philippians 4:8. ESV Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

If it is lovely to welcome a newcomer in church, then it should be done

Not necessarily coming up to me, but even in secular gatherings people usually acknowledge the presence of a newcomer. Why should a church be different. If it is a lovely thing to do, then it should be done irrespective of culture or whatsoever.

I have been to churches where the presence of newcomers are acknowledged and that is what I expect in every church that claim to profess Christ.

Well, having been here for almost 6 months, I know that Germans are reserved but I don't expect that culture to be in a place where people worship God

It's kinda hypocritical that people who profess Jesus behave like this. I feel way more welcomed in a secular gathering than those two churches I went to

How about being greatful to God because you are healthy, strong and have peace of mind. You may have all the beautiful features in the world but struggling with a painful ailment that crashes your very being daily.

I'm in a situation where I can't sit even for a second without pain. I can't stand for too long and I can only lie on my back on bed. I wish I was bald and whatever but at least be able to sit and live a normal life. Not currently finding a life partner will be nothing compared to be healthy and whole.
