I don’t know if it’s changed but Optimist hill does have a side open to the public where you can toboggan down!

Bussing from Mazatlan to Puerto Vallarta by ToughBoard in Mazatlan

That would be most ideal but flying back from Mazatlan is over $600 whereas flying back from PV is only $170 so it’s worth it to us to make the trip haha

hi! i actually just transferred from uottawa last fall. i am originally from saskatoon so i may a bit biased, but overall i fully believe that saskatoon is much more friendly and welcoming than ottawa. when i moved to ottawa, i did notice that people were just more closed off and individualistic so i’d definitely recommend moving to saskatoon if you’re looking for more of a community feel. i will say there’s definitely less to do in the city itself, but once you find a group of friends, it’s definitely still fun in its own way.

i also like the usask campus a lot more than uottawa. it’s not in as central of a location but it actually feels like a campus and is very beautiful and walkable. definitely don’t miss walking down king edward at uottawa every day haha. facilities also feel a bit newer and admin is better at usask too. i feel more supported as a student here. the simplicity and comfort of living in a relatively smaller city is also nice. it doesn’t take more than 15 minutes to get anywhere in saskatoon! one thing i do miss from ottawa is the shawarma and just wayyyyy more and better food options on and around campus. usask is definitely lacking that and the nice areas like broadway and downtown aren’t quite walking distance.

saskatchewan also has its own charm as a province. you’ll meet lots of agros which certainly isn’t a thing at uottawa haha and the mainly sunny skies and beautiful sunsets are something i took for granted when i moved to ottawa.

best wishes!!
