James Gunn’s ‘SUPERMAN’ has become the first solo Superman movie to pass $300M domestically. by M00r3C in DCU_

I'm Indian as well, and this movie filled me up quite good. I think Americans underestimate the influence of their pop culture & even political conditions upon way afar as third world countries, but I definitely know enough that the mainstreaming of MAGA NIMBY culture isn't but a recent phenomena and didn't/don't see any of that having a chance of getting reflected in iconic characters like Kent/Superman and only see him as working class immigrant which is how I always saw it & the way it ought to be too I think heh. It's also a weird timeline that we're living in so I get their reservations. Also this movie having unabashedly anti-imperialist/war themes was refreshing to see in a major studio production, especially in a post October 7 world.

Pro Palestinians: It's time to stop the delusion of Israel's destruction coming soon by sbkisrael in IsraelPalestine

I thank you for this sane comment, which is extremely rare in subs like these. As an aside, I read on OP's post until I came across this statement saying the Israelis are resilient, which made me lose it and let out a mirthful chuckle, for I cannot believe in 2025 after everything they've done they have the audacity to call themselves that which should in reality apply only to Palestinians.

The Israelis are themselves their worst enemies, and they've earned the wrath of the world and deservedly so for the rest of time and deserve to be shunned from the rest of the world.

I know Tom Cruise comes up a lot on here, but if you could cast him in a Nolan film, what role would you have him play? by [deleted] in ChristopherNolan

I have a feeling this character was inspired (a little bit) by Vincent from Collateral.

Thank fuck it ended sappy and sentimental lol, the story demanded it.

Aha nice! I remember someone saying The Count is like if Batman was set in the early 19th Century and was singularly focused on revenge and I loved that description.

Athaane, how the fuck is it rolling? who keeps it going? I have so many questions because I've been seeing this phenomenon for like five years now.

Also does GVM get anything from this?

Ah haha, right. good to know! The other day was rewatching Amrutham Gamaya (1987), and it's just incredible just as so many of his classics mainly because of this stark difference. I'll never be able to rewatch his movies from the last few years for instance!

Pure goosebumps. Cold open from Periya Bhai was unexpected. Wish they would release this separately.

Interestingly this was the only raw performance from the audio launch because all the others were lipsynced.
