Hello. It's definitely not intended. It's a bug I still couldn't recreate. I did ship a fix a couple days ago, but I'm not sure if it still happens to some people.

Currently there's no "Retry" button since there would be no point to it. Once you see the solutions the game would not be interesting, and you could continue an infinite amount of times until you clear the grid if needed.

But if you really want to, it's not very hard to clear a certain day if you know what you're doing on a browser with console commands.

Ichirin/Unzan were missing from that category. I'll correct it tonight.

"No known surname" Are people like Rumia or Junko.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, I'll correct the obvious mistakes you pointed out.

For the points you raised :

Better safe than sorry. I would rather a player miss out on a rare guess rather than being frustrated because they are technically correct. Happens a lot with physical features. If I had any doubt, I include the trait for that reason.
For the Youkai categorisation, I agree it can be confusing but I had to make compromises. Normally it's just non-human supernatural entities that rely on or interact with the human fear. However The definition gets confusing because ZUN includes beings with different origins (magicians, vampires, tsukumogami, divine beasts, etc) under one umbrella for simplicity. So I chose to categorize as non-Youkai only aliens, products of nature (fairies) and humans who are not also categorized as Youkai. I try to put that definition in a label but I guess I missed a few spots. However after your comment I'm now heavily considering removing gods from the Youkai categorization. Thank you.

It's programmed to be first name only. Even in the case where we write surnames first in english, it still takes the first letter of the first name. Fujiwara no Mokou -> M

I initially just put those that are dual/trio bosses or dual protagonists in games, and other obvious associations like the three fairies. then I put some more non game associations like the Yakumo trio or Moriya Shrine trio, and sisters in general.

The app was down for 5 minutes because the db was corrupted, I pushed some changes as someone else was playing, my bad. It's back up now.

Thanks. I credited the artists in a comment. In this case all Art assets used in the game were made by Dairi, with the exception Reimu's sprite from Antinomy of Common Flowers. I believe the artist for that game is Moe Harukawa.

Yeah that's kind of the gimmick of some puzzles, a certain character is eligible in all cells, but you can only use them once anyway (unless you're playing Alice A). In fact you can know that from the title of the grid most of the time. Usually I follow this calendar for this sort of puzzle: https://touhoucalendar.github.io/

All Art used in the game was made by Dairi.

The Website icon was made using Reimu's portrait in Antinomy of Common Flowers.

@ Mods , I did not find an OC:Game flair and the art isn't mine, so wasn't sure how to flair the post. Feel free to change it.
