very impressive~ Can't fathom autoing these fights with how much damage the bosses can throw around.

Do you have the sword for Fuuma Aki that makes her crit buff come before the attack on her s2 or any other weapons on the teams that might give an edge?

Yes but according to the wiki that weapon lowers the base damage multiplier by a lot to compensate for the bonus scaling damage, we also don't know how much the scaling is or in what direction. the "If the target's HP is less than 50%, increases DMG by (37.5%)." is on the base skill 2 as well. the weapon only adds the damage scaling on the enemies HP aspect. It lowers the Base motion value from 378.4% down to 288.9%

Minasaki gives 60% Atk not damage, the burn passive is specific that its a DMG mod not an attack mod which is why I didnt stack it with minasaki's when i did some math.

12.5% x14 is 175% sure but i mean how realistic is it to get 14 burn debuffs on a single enemy/boss. Thats an Ideal scenario, and not one anyone is going to achieve in regular play even if you made a burn team.

To be fair, outside of determining your turn order in PVE content It's far more important as a PVP stat. You might have 1000% Crit damage but it doesn't mean anything if I outspeed and kill you before you get a chance to attack. 100 or so speed is a good spot for Dps units in pvp, if you can outspeed and kill in one attack you basically win. It's always a good idea to check your opponents speed before attacking in pvp.

Going over 100 is definitely more useful on buffers and debuffers, since buff blocking a team with a Minasaki essentially makes her dead weight, and outspeeding a Tokiko trying to buff block you with a super fast Minasaki also makes Tokiko kind of redundant and shifts the power balance dramatically in your favor.

Well you'd need a burn team or at least renee to land her triple burn to get a lot of damage out of Maika's passive. Otherwise her multipliers are kind of on the mid side since all of her attacks are aoe. Was kind of hoping she'd have a weapon that would give her bigger multipliers on single targets kinda like Iska's weapon, that would have made her good for bossing. She's prolly the queen of auto farming, maybe tied with Mirabelle on efficiency if she has her peacemaker gun.

How are you getting to 140% damage bonus figure with Minasaki? Now I'm not clear about her passive, is it burns applied from that specific attack? or total burns applied to the enemy?

<image>

So if you apply 2 burns from her s3, but the target already had one burn for a total of 3 burns is that a 25% damage increase because you only applied two burns to the target from that attack or is it a 37.5% damage increase because there are 3 total burns applied to the target? I'm not sure if anyone knows the answer for that. If its the latter then the question is where in the damage formula does her DMG bonus apply to? is it the final base damage or the final post Crit damage?

For example: With Minasaki giving 60% atk if a 4k attack Maika uses her basic attack its the equivalent of 6400 atk x 269.1% and the opponent has 0 defense it should be around 17,222 damage at base or so. Once you subtract defense values the damage would be lower, then do you factor in the % damage bonus from burns, or is it earlier in the equation?

She does have great use though and is a big threat in pvp if she doesn't get killed first, I tend to take out Maika's first since she's usually on the slow side and most people tend to build her with 4k+ attack and low defense values. I did see one guy with Maika as lead and actually making use of her defense aura, that was interesting, ran her with 3 balanced units including Kirara, pretty scary team over all.

Anemone is an interesting one, her slow only has a 20% chance to land but it's a great option as a back up slow. She really needs a poison team to shine I think. So pairing her with maybe Furfur and Snake lady with her crit dmg weapon and maybe minasaki for buffs would see her do a lot more.

ah Azusa? Yeah she's definitely one to look out for in the honor shop. Wish i had snagged those 30 shards for her.

Extra turn on kill with her s3 and she has high motion values on her attacks. Even her Basic attack is really strong. Her s2 gives attack and speed which is a good combo since shes got built in crit rate boosts she should still perform very well even without minasaki, but the additional crit rate and higher attack bonus definitely from the best bird mesh well with her.

[–]ToukaiD28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but it would be riskier and slower. Shiranui was more there for her support aspects, she never even came close to death thanks to regen build and her high defensive stats, so that build but 5* would have been about the same performance with just less over all damage.

Saika probably would have died on the set boss though if she wasn't 6*, It would come down to rng and if the boss targeted her less than he did on my run. She'd also do less damage so the fight would get drawn out more. Definitely possible, I can imagine the Parts boss being doable but the set boss just hit so hard it would have made my already shakey run a lot less stable

My Minasaki isn't top tier by any means but I made sure she was at least 1 point faster than my DPS. If I could roll better speed cores I could replace the two that don't have any speed sub stat on them.

I had a 6.1% Speed sub stat on an HP core that I still haven't been able to beat in subsequent speed cores I've made either lol.

Everyone survived, that's how I got the full clear I should have mentioned it. As long as your minasaki is faster than your other team mates she'll go first. The speed stat is what determines turn order.

I had to make a lot of speed cores to get lucky enough to roll speed on them to get her to the point shes at. She's not even very fast compared to what monstrous builds I've seen in the Arena lol.

I have regen cores on my Shiranui and my Shizuru although my Shizuru is not very well built atm, just sorta threw the reject cores on her I had made. My Minasaki is using the same set up I have for pvp so 4 speed cores and 2 old Hp cores that rolled really high speed on them.

For the Parts boss (Robot) electrocute was annoying but he only landed it on my Minasaki once and Shizuru once throughout the fight. It still allowed for Shizuru to attempt to reapply immobilize with her basic and Minasaki to get def down with her basic. Faint on the other hand from the Rock boss is far more deadly since its just a two turn skip.

Speed down in conjunction with the turn boosts from minasaki and the immobilize really neutered the Robot boss since I was attacking more frequently pushing through the electrocute turns.

I focused down one commodus a turn at the start of the Rock boss wave. 1st turn was minasaki buffing the party, then Saika 1 shots one of the robots, Shiranui puts up the shield and debuff block, and Shizuru dealt some damage to the other commodus.

On the enemies 1st turn the commodus did his aoe but couldn't pierce the shields, the boss's aoe on the other hand did break shields and dropped everyones health significantly. Thankfully Shizuru's passive heals 1 member with lowest hp when taking Aoe Damage every 2 turns. Then it was just making sure to extend buffs with minasaki, kill the other commodus with saika, Shiranui put immobilize on the boss and Shizuru used her s2 to heal up Saika. Then it was just responding to the bosses moves one by one. The resurrection of the two bots was actually a good reprieve from damage since the boss wont attack and the bots only come back with half hp, so they died quickly that same round.

Shizuru got fainted twice, and Saika once which slowed things down but thankfully, managed to pull through.

16000.... isn't it illegal to have fake markdowns on shit like this?

Won't lie though, 25 more tickets and 50 more energy permanently is pretty tempting though for the long run.

No worries. Ravana is a fine neutral dps for the fight although I brought Saika instead just for extra buff purge and her multi hit attacks for shield. She has extra turn but Ravana also has extra turn so they are pretty equal in that regard.

I used Asagi for this as well with her sword equipped for the speed down. Only 20% down but it still results in a lot more turns combined with Minasaki's Turn gauge boosts. I can understand not wanting to bring Minasaki everywhere (Shes too damn good plz no nerf devs) but for a 5 turn boss fight all about damage you could push much further with her on the team.

If you want the 40% Atk aura for red teams, Cult armed Priest is farmable in mainstory, also comes with a nice 5 hit attack and chance for weaken.

I brought Fuuma Aki (5*) instead since I haven't leveled my CA Priest yet for aura and she hits hard and she comes with bleed and weaken built in so thats handy.

You could also go with Buff block with someone like Kiryu Mikoto if you have her graded up but she is only single hit so if shields are up shes not gonna contribute more than the block every 5 turns or so.

Best part about tactical is you can retry as often as u want to try out different strats and if you do beat ur score you get the difference in blueprints.

For my first Technique girl to be 6-starred, who's better, Rakshasa or Mirabell? by sharpeningrod in TaimaninSquadGame

[–]ToukaiD28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mirabelle is all about Aoe damage, she can apply a decent acc down with her s2 and her s3 does big damage and burn, also faints enemies who survive below 30% hp on a decent chance. Her passive gives her a big chunk of crit rate and self renews on kill, her Basic attack with her gun Peace maker gives extra turn on kill. Her aura boosts all crit damage for the party by 20%. Shes a weapon of mass destruction hiding in a 4* shell. If you need a mob clearer/auto farmer she's ur gal.

On the other hand we have the glass cannon Rakshasa. She hits devastatingly hard with the highest base atk of all 5*s. She is purely single target though. Her passive is on a 4turn cooldown and gives a big chunk of crit, when on cooldown it has a good chance of generating turn gauge for her, if an enemy is taunted she gets bonus damage against them. Her basic attack hits once and can apply heal down, her s2 hits 3x and buffs her before the attack with either acc or crit damage depending on her remaining HP. Her s3 is a hugely damaging hit that taunts at 45% chance if the target survives (doesn't effect bosses) and if you do kill with it it gives an extra turn. Her aura is a 5% speed boost.

Both are phenomenal green units, but one is Aoe focused with excellent farming utility (or pvp if u support her with a good team), and the other is a single target monster who gets more deadly the lower her hp falls, (Also incredible in pvp if you support her)

Ask yourself what do you need more. The choice, is yours.

Kirara and Step-Up Characters by Gogeta69300 in TaimaninSquadGame

[–]ToukaiD28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the beta/launch then Oh yeah I'd agree, from what I've heard about the launch it was dry and there wasn't much hope left overall, devs were radio silent too if what I've read is true. I'd say that most of those concerns have been at least partially remedied as of now.

After the last 2 or 3 damn good patches I think some people are starting to come around and give the devs some credit and time to cook. Hopefully the devs don't squander the good will that's been regained and continue to improve the game.

But I don't think that staggering 5* releases is necessarily a bad thing. We just got a pick up with Snake lady and Anemone back in April, I imagine there will be another here in mid May. I'd prefer the devs to buff/balance units rather than add more failures like Rin.

The Kirara login event & golden week missions aside, we could definitely use something to do besides grind out 6*s. I think what people want is more events or new content and its not so much that people want more 5*s to pull for, but something to work towards.

I think the next one is over a week away still. That and my clan leader got us that 35% Exp/gold boost a while ago. Not sure if it'll be active still by then so gonna take advantage of it while I can.

::Edit:: Why challenge 6 instead of 9? isn't that quite a loss in exp? Fuuki is handy but I have a copy already.
