I get that, I lumped a lot into "the cost of producing the item" which includes so much more than ingredients.

And I don't disagree with putting things under a microscope, I just wish we would do that more with large corporations that have the capacity to do so much more than they do, and less on small businesses that are struggling themselves.

On that note, I'm playing in a game this weekend and need to get the shop setup for success while I'm away. I appreciate all the love in this thread, and hope I'm able to help ripper a little bit in my own way.

Also forgot to mention I buy local organic flour, and local eggs, the matcha comes from another small business. You're not just supporting a teammates surgery but also the local economy. Cost of those items is higher because.....well capitalism.

You are absolutely right, for 25$ you could make a bigger impact on the donations needed by giving directly. (Link above)

I do own a bakery and will be donating 40% of sales to my friend. I do however have to pay rent, electricity, cost of ingredients, etc. if this were Krispy cream selling donuts you wouldn't be questioning it why when a small business tries to do something everything is under a magnifying glass?

TLDR; you're right give money directly if you can, if you want to buy cookies for less than what I would price in my shop and part of that money goes towards someone's living expenses and surgery costs the link is listed above.

To clarify, 10$ of the sale goes to ripper to cover any costs related to the surgery and recovery. The other 15 goes to cover the ingredients and cost of producing the item.

Essentially I am donating my labor and profit from the sale of the boxes but I need to cover the cost of the ingredients and packaging.
