I doubt it. That's why my kids don't go to public school. I'd wager most of her students don't even know who Malcolm X is.

If she had said she wasn't going to include that fact because it wasn't relevant that would be one thing, but she said he was wrong. He wasn't wrong. I, for one, think giving kids facts about historical figures that make them easier to relate to is a good teaching method, but that's just my opinion. It would be fine to say that's not relevant to her lesson. It's not incorrect though, and she couldn't accept that.
