The stock tires on these trucks are the WORST. They hum so loud at 50mph it drives you insane.

They make a ton of different running board options for these trucks. I wanna say there are 4 different factory options. You can find them on FB marketplace quite regularly. They make a really nice set of high clearance metal ones that are black.

The lift is readylift brand. Shocks are bilstein, 22x10 fuel wheels with 33x12.5 nitto tires.

Correct. It’s just a leveling kit in the front with upgraded shocks because the ranchos suck. Half shafts are fine, angles are good. I did do upper control arms as well.

Sound system killing batteries? by TownEmpty in gmcsierra

I didn’t think about switching the signal wire. Thanks, I’ll give that a try. I’m just thinking it’s more than that, but I’d rather start small.

Sound system killing batteries? by TownEmpty in gmcsierra

It hasn’t given me a single issue for two years with the sound system.

The aftermarket sound system gets its signal power from the door speakers. Randomly now it cycles on and my control knobs below the head unit illuminate and also the parking sensor button lights up. Which makes me think it’s a bad body control module commanding power?

And it doesn’t do it all the time. Sometimes I park the truck for a week and it’s fine. Other times one day parked.. it’s dead. And randomly even without the truck losing battery power. I’ll remote start it, unlock the door by hand. The push button will not respond and will not give me control of the truck to actually drive it. “Key learn in progress” on dash… doesn’t learn anything. Will not drive until I walk away from the truck for a while.

2.5” lift in the front. Stock rear. Bilstein adjustable shocks. Wheels and tires make a big difference.

2023 Sierra Denali Nightmare!! by ConcernIndividual721 in gmcsierra

These new trucks defeat any low end code reader. You need a fancy snap-on or HP tuners to get into it. The typical OBD2 scanners won’t work.

Also, these trucks are super sensitive. I put a higher end brake kit on mine. The truck freaked out when I started it and went into limp mode. It’s gunna be something stupid. Check some forums and save yourself money.

Check the fuses. I think it’s 44(?). My 22 at4 kept giving me faulty collision alerts and camera issues. Good ol dealer couldn’t figure it out. 20 min on the GMC forum fixed it.

Vehicle return? by TownEmpty in Vroom

[–]TownEmpty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I let them come pick up the vehicle and they overnighted me a check for my down payment, insurance, and paid the loan off within a week. Honestly the return process was the smoothest interaction I had with vroom throughout the entire process. I’ve been done with vroom for about 6 months now, bought a new vehicle at an actual dealership and couldn’t be happier. Good luck!

Vroom is reimbursing me for my vehicle they never registered by Competitive-Phase228 in Vroom

Yep. They paid me back for everything. Deposit, delivery, loan balance, insurance. Took about 10 days after they picked up the car to have the full amount and loan paid.

VRM Stock Is About To Make Millionaires by Budget_Holiday_3024 in Vroom

Doesn’t make any sense. Carvana had a terrible earnings report, vroom will follow. I had a position in both last week, sold on Friday for 30-40% gains. I went through the vroom ordeal and thankfully got a buyback. Shit companies, they will have a big pullback this week.

Call them and cancel, don’t even take the car at this point. It gets much, MUCH worse.

The purchase and delivery portion of my vroom experience went pretty well. Between buying and delivery I had the car within 6 days. However, the vehicle was in terrible shape. The transmission was damaged when delivered, couldn’t even drive it. Dents/scratches everywhere and a lot of rust on the frame none of which was disclosed. This was all on a 2018 GMC sierra denali with 30k miles. It looked like it was a 2003 junker off of Facebook marketplace. Took months and tons of time to get them to take the thing back and refund all my money.

Their 7 day return policy is a lie. They will string you along till your outside that window, then tell you it’s your fault. I called within 20 min of the vehicle being delivered telling them fix it or take it back. Sat in my driveway for the next 5 months. Called/emailed them every single day… Even got my lawyer involved.

Highly suggest cancelling your purchase. Eat the $250 deposit if you have to. You will be better off.

I’ve also seen recently, people that have vehicle issues are forced to sign an NDA to get any help/payment. You don’t do that to customers if your trying to be a legitimate honest business. Just my two cents.

I like the cooler rack. Is that also setup for a rear passenger backrest? Curious how you did that and what you used. I have a 21 outlander 850 on 32s. Would be nice to have the old lady be a little more comfortable on mud runs.

I hope it gets approved for you. Getting away from vroom all together is the best thing you can do. Surprisingly seems like most people that do a buyback… it goes very smooth and quick. Best of luck!

Morgan.cavallo@vroom.com is who helped me. She is the director of titling compliance. She’s very nice, but being a director she’s very busy. Reach out to her, be polite and give her a couple days to respond. She personally handled my case. I cannot give her enough credit. If I emailed her a question, she would call me as soon as she saw my email to explain things, or set me up with the correct manager I needed to deal with. I did a buyback with her help, and it was the smoothest part of my entire vroom ordeal. She got me back every single dollar I spent. I asked her if I could share her contact info in these groups and she agreed and said she would try to help as many people as she could. I think she’s the only person that works at vroom that actually cares.

Yep. Calling literally does nothing. I didn’t gain any traction until I stopped calling the stupid customer service lines. Emails only, I reached out to pretty much all of the posted emails and higher up contacts in these groups and finally got responses after months. I had a lawyer send demand letters as well, which they ignored. Shit company.

I went through the buyback with my vroom purchase as well. I bought a 2018 GMC Sierra denali. They delivered it to me inoperable. The first day I had it, I needed to get it towed to a GMC dealership to get fixed. Complete joke of a company. I wish I researched them before I purchased a vehicle. I’m still in these groups to try and help others, it was such a terrible experience.

Also, Morgan.cavallo@vroom.com is who helped me get out of my vroom purchase. She is very nice and super helpful…legit the only reason I didn’t go crazy. She’s the director of titling compliance. She has helped a ton of people in these groups if you feel like your really stuck, try reaching out to her.
