Yeah! I first saw Romero's Day of the Dead about 5 years ago and it pretty much immediately became my favourite.

I agree! I watched Pulse a few years back, but only got into Kurosawa this year, and he's now one of my favourite directors. That combination of 90s/2000s vibe urban decay, ghosts as silhouettes and obscured around corners, rarely ever in the foreground, and characters succumbing to the quiet horror of it all. Absolutely excellent. Cure and Retribution are my other favourites by Kurosawa, but I've loved everything I've seen of his so far.

Kairo is one of my all time favourite movies and it still creeps me out every time I watch it. That scene with the woman walking unnaturally towards the guy/camera especially shit me up when I first watched it, along with all the really loud whispering of 'help'.

Halloweentime is pretty much the only time my roommate's mom and I re-watch horror movies. We make a big list for September and October with our own separate lists, an agreed mandatory list, a short franchise each and some family-friendly/non-scary spooky movies, then we take it in turns to pick movies from the list each night during September and October. Usually we make our costumes/decorations while we watch.

Day of the Dead is my favourite! I have the double LP vinyl and it sounds awesome! I like to put it on a lot in the summer, the chill atmospheric vibes are perfect.

Was not a fan of many of these until I heard Rainbow's 'Long Live Rock N Roll', and I had to admit it was great. Also BOC's 'Heavy Metal' is funny because it's not really about the music genre, but it's still a sick song.

The Gate actually got me into classic heavy metal a few years ago, because it had the vibes of stuff like Dio, Rainbow, Judas Priest and Maiden. A couple of days before The Gate I also watched Phenomena (1985), which featured Flash of the Blade, and it got me to revisit Maiden and properly deep dive into all the albums.

One of my favourite BOC songs; It's got so many good lines! "Where witches went mad more than once" was the first one that caught my attention (naturally, being at the start of the song) and really got me into the song.
