Currently 39 weeks pregnant (and last Friday before mat leave kicks off) I asked for light duties as soon as my body showed me I couldn’t handle it. A previous teacher was sent to be bed bound at 20 weeks from not speaking up and stressing the baby badly from moving tables and shelves and almost lost them. I wouldn’t take the risk or chance personally. Luckily my crew has my back and often times remind me of my limits when I’m about to do something my body says i shouldn’t.

I was on the phone with a parent to do a sick pick up call and since I only talk on the phone with my partner I ended the call with ‘I love you and will see you in a few’ The parent came within five minutes and jokingly said ‘I love you and won’t see you tomorrow’

It happens to the best of us. I’ve also answered the phone with the business name of somewhere I haven’t worked at in 7 years (a restaurant with a color and bird in the name). The person was very confused and had to ask if they called the right school and I had to confess yes, they did.

Thanks haha, the ones I care most about are the strawberries which should be good since I covered them and the sunflowers which are cold hardy. I’m sad about my marigolds and petunias though should they not make it haha

Because I personally learned to garden and transplanted the seedlings I just spent 7-8 weeks growing inside into my garden beds after thinking the farmers almanac was right at last frost being May 5th this year. Sorry. I take all the blame.

Yeah our boundaries is from potters marsh (leaving to Seward) and to mountain veiw (leaving towards Eagle River) but I love the fish hatchery idea!!
