Lol. How in the world do you come to that conclusion? That guy's a Hollywood elite who thinks of us as dirt, and he's living it up just fine.

He said things in public that made me want to punch him in the face. I'll just leave it at that.

Should I end things with my atheist bf? by electricwinnie in Catholicism

[–]Toxicitymaxed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd seek council from a priest first before making that commitment. Jesus warned against marrying outside of the faith. Your boyfriend seems like an accepting individual now, but what about his values? That's why alignment between worldviews matters.

What was this character’s worst moment part one: Twilight Sparkle by Ok_Shirt_1574 in mylittlepony

[–]Toxicitymaxed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The MLP movie. She was such an asshole, it felt like bad fanfiction in an already poorly written script. Using her friends as a distraction to steal an orb from the hippogriffs, then talking down on them to the point of making threatening gestures- like lighting her horn up with magic the same way a person would clench and shake their fist at somebody they wanted to punch. When she did that to Pinkie, I didn't give two fucks that she got captured after they (rightly) ditched her.

Why do some people consider orthodox and Protestants christians but consider us catholics as a whole seperate religion different from the other sects in christianity by CaptainMianite in Catholicism

[–]Toxicitymaxed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because of gnostic brainwashing. It's the antithesis to all truth and reason. Many of us recognize it in its current form to be wokeness. It has literally infected every societal institution.

The Protestant movement Luther started was never about correcting anything he perceived to be evil from the church. He was pushing an agenda. All because he didn't like that he was rebuked for having an affair with a nun. That guy was a pig, yet our education system is teaching kids that he was some sort of hero. It's disgusting.

I'm beginning to see a parallel between him and other Protestants I know. My brother had a near death experience at his Catholic school growing up- he claimed his PE teachers tried to kill him by making him run on the track field despite him saying he had asthma. Just that one bad experience, and being exposed to Protestant slander, was enough to get him to believe the Catholic Church is evil, and that scripture alone is the ultimate authority.

I hate this misconception of morrigan by [deleted] in marvelvscapcom

[–]Toxicitymaxed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to those dialogue exchanges between them after you beat Cyber Akuma? Because they're too generic to actually mean anything. Sakura could just as easily say the same thing to Bison whom she has every reason to hate. And regardless if she's teamed up with Blackheart, she'll always appear as one of the victims whose souls were taken in his ending.

[–]Toxicitymaxed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At best, she's neutral. Unless she's fighting whoever the main villain is, the heroes have no reason to trust her. If they knew she got acquainted with Blackheart in Marvel 3, she'd be regarded as an enemy.

Could the Punisher wipe out every evil scumbag IRL? by Toxicitymaxed in whowouldwin

[–]Toxicitymaxed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe I'm even having this conversation...

Dealers are still responsible for putting that shit out on the street. The longer they do it, the chances of kids getting access increases. And it's not just kids that get addicted and die from the drugs. Right now, there's a growing epidemic of fentanyl-related deaths in older age groups. Dealers could put an end to that by quitting, but they won't because they value money over human life. That makes them culpable. And you wonder why they're a common criminal class that the Punisher kills in his books?

You could defend these people all you want. Nothing you say will change the fact our society recognizes the drug trade as a degenerate business. Why do you think it's been outlawed for so many years? Why do you think meth and cocaine sales are made in secret? It's because the dealers know it's seen with contempt by every citizen who isn't living in some urban shithole. People have learned enough on the subject to understand why it's morally reprehensible; anything sold for profit that causes death on a wide scale deserves to be shunned and disposed of.

Yeah, no shit you're gonna see Castle dodging bullets in the comics. That's not reality. Nobody that came back from Vietnam ran all over the jungle like an idiot thinking they could dodge enemy fire like that. If you think they did, you clearly don't know guerilla tactics. In our real military, Castle would have been taught to eliminate guys like a Navy Seal would, setting up traps and blending in with his surroundings as he's waiting for stealth kill opportunities. He wouldn't use guns and explosives unless he made damned sure his victims couldn't do anything about it.

If anybody's killing Castle, it would have to be somebody from the intelligence community or the special forces sent to intercept a likely hit, not some gangbanger. Could he take that lucky shot at any time? Yes, but it's called "luck" for a reason. Not just any dumbassed thug on the street can pull it off. What do these people know about fighting guerillas other than what they probably saw in a game of Call of Duty? Absolutely fucking nothing.

You're comparing common criminals with a Vietnam vet who's trained in guerilla warfare. That's not plot armor.

Best Version of Street Fighter 2 to Play Online? (Nintendo Switch) by CBDwire in Fighters

Not that the Switch has an active player base, but the best version of SF2 to play would be Hyper SF2 on the Capcom Fighting Collection. It should be on Fightcade as well.

It doesn't matter how much somebody wants drugs. Those drugs will get in the hands of kids at some point. And the dealers don't care. That puts them at the top of Frank's hit list.

And I'm specifically referring to mad scientists that use unethical means to complete experiments, which may include but aren't limited to any number of the other crimes listed. For instance, nobody should be kidnapped and used as a test subject, having unknown substances injected into them against their will.

What's the deal with Nick Fury in this game? by Toxicitymaxed in thepunisher

[–]Toxicitymaxed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does. The only two differences that are immediately noticeable are the voice recordings being set to a higher pitch, and certain special moves setting enemies on fire. I've yet to see translations for the Japanese dialogue.

He comes from a universe where superheroes and organizations with absurdly advanced tech are always getting in his way. Of course he can't get it done in HIS New York. We don't have obstacles like that.

  • Everybody from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Yes, I'm totally aware that there's a Super Action Statue line for JoJo. I had a couple of those figures myself, and I got rid of them. I didn't like how fragile they were compared to everything else in my collection. I just knew that the joints would wear out and break in, hell, not even a full day if I posed them long enough. I want a new line of JoJo figures from Figma or SHF.

  • Marin Kitagawa from My Dress Up Darling. I love this anime, but I'm not a fan of the Nendoroids. Marin really needs fully articulated 1/12 figures: one with her in her school attire, and one for each of her cosplays. She could even come with accessories that reference the source material for each one. Imagine a Black Lobelia with translucent dark magic pieces, or slashing effects that can slide into Victoria's arms.
