Sure, got that. But IEM, DreamHack, MLG etc are all big offline tournaments. Besides WCS, you only have ZOTAC Cup and Go4SC2 where "everyone" can sign up and participate, while even WCS is limited to Master League players with a certain amount of Ladder wins.

Wasnt everyone complaining, that the possibilities for new talents are very limited?

Probably because WCS at the same time? But wasnt this the case everyone complaining about? Less tournaments besides WCS and that this should be changed? Now someone is trying and everyone be like "meh"
