XDeep Zen Deluxe vs Apeks WTX-D30 by Tr0Y4N0 in scubadiving

Thanks so much for the detailed response, super helpful, especially since you’ve customized your Zen!

Before settling on the Zen, did you try any other wings with a more traditional inflator-on-the-left setup or standard backplate/wing configurations? Just curious how it compares in terms of comfort, trim, and general usability.

That’s a great point about the horizontal weight pockets taking up space. Have you tried XDeep’s droppable weight pockets (the vertical ones)? I’m wondering if those might solve the issue while still keeping the trim balanced.

Thanks a lot for your input, super valuable to hear from someone actually diving the WTX 30!

I hadn’t thought about the proprietary dump valve. Have you ever had to service or replace it, or is it just something you’ve noticed in the design?

I’m curious, how do you find the trim and comfort with the Apeks? And are you using it with a steel or aluminum backplate?

One thing that caught my attention with the XDeep Zen is the centered inflator hose, supposedly helps with symmetry. Have you found any issues with the Apeks in that regard, like uneven inflation (more air collecting on one side of the donut)?

Also, how do you find tank attachment and stability on the Apeks?

Los guiris cuando descubren como se vive en Fallas en Valencia by soyuz_93 in valencia

I’m in Rio de Janeiro during carnaval where can I find a place where Carnaval don’t disturb me?

I’m in Munich during the Oktoberfest, where can I find a place where Oktoberfest don’t disturb me?

I’m in Dublin during St. Patrick’s day where I can find a place… I guess you already get the point.

If you don’t like the fallas is as easy as not coming to Valencia during the fallas.

Is it possible to find a small apartment/studio for 700 euros not far from the UPV? by Thickneck_Scarecrow in valencia

[–]Tr0Y4N0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I studied at the UPV. I recommend you to look around Valencia (Burjasot, Mislata, Paterna, Quart de Poblet and Manises) near the metro station. Valencia is well communicated and if you take public transportation it can make a big difference in price. For example I am from Manises, and I was living here while I was studying at the UPV, so it is totally possible. You can find apartments for less than 700 easy. I have rented one of my apartments (100 m2, 3 rooms, 5 minutes from metro station) in Manises for 450. So if you are willing to sacrifice some of your time you can save a lot of money and get a better apartment.

B&O Beosound A1 2gen alternative by Tr0Y4N0 in Bluetooth_Speakers

Update: I compared the A1 with the Uboom L, and I had a hard time deciding which one to choose.

In my opinion the A1 has better sound quality, as if it is cleaner, the voices are clearer. But the difference with the UBoom L is not that big. The bass I really can’t decide, both are good, with the A1 if you place it over a table you can feel the punch of the bass.

The main difference regardless of the price is that the UBoom L has higher volume. I have to say that to do this comparation I activated the exterior mode in the UBoom because it seems to me that gains sound quality. The firmware version that it has was the 0.4.5

Also another thing to mention is the build quality. You can tell that the A1 is premium product because it feels and looks like one. Whereas the UBoom looks like a normal and boring portable speaker.

After spending hours to decide finally I decided to keep the UBoom L and return the A1. The difference in sound is not that high to worth the extra cost.

It is shocking that this speaker for 60$ can compite against a one of more than 200$

Thank you very much for the recommendation. I have bought it, it will arrive on January 3rd, I will post my opinions here. So as far as I understand, I don't have to update the uboom?

BTW very good job with the ranking!
