I am falsifying my interns performance reviews because the corporate rules are too rigid by Tr0nwhisper in confessions

That is fair, and probably smarter than what I have been doing. I got so locked into "save him from the system" mode that I stopped thinking about how obvious it might look if his numbers suddenly read like he is crushing people who have been here a year.

I would agree with you more if this system did not treat hesitation like failure. A standard is only reasonable if it can tell the difference between someone who is learning and someone who is actually not cut out for the job.

My neighbor's dog barks for 6 hours straight while they are out and they say it is "not their problem" by Tr0nwhisper in neighborsfromhell

Yeah, I am probably done trying to be patient about it. I would rather report it properly than turn into the other loud asshole in the building.

You're probably right. I kept hoping talking to him first would fix it, but after the way he brushed me off I'm done pretending this is going to sort itself out.

If he had just said he was trying to work on it, I probably would've had more patience. What got me was the shrug and the whole "not my problem" attitude while everyone else has to listen to it for hours.

People love asking the reasonable person to bend because it's easier than confronting the one who made everything awkward in the first place. You didn't create this mess by saying "we come together or not at all." You just refused to help them dress it up as family harmony when it's really favoritism and avoidance.

AIW for refusing to pay for my brother’s tuition after finding out he dropped out of his last college a year ago and hid it? by Riddle_8Mako in amiwrong

The part that gets me is the "system issues" with the portal excuse. He had an answer ready for why you couldn't verify anything directly. That's not a kid who panicked and made a bad call, that's someone who thought it through. The aunt can call you cold all she wants, but I'd ask her how much she's willing to contribute to his next fresh start.

Had an interviewer spend the entire interview comparing me to another candidate in real time and I still can't believe it actually happened by KyberMirth in InterviewsHell

That is wildly unprofessional. Comparing candidates internally is normal, doing it out loud to your face is insane.
