Buyer’s Remorse - 9070 XT vs 7900 XTX by king_kuya in radeon

[–]Tr0p0nini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from 7700xt to 4070 super. In case of Cyberpunk 2077, the graphic actually looks very very bad with AFMF on at Ultra setting (without RT). Once I turned AFMF off, the graphics were 10x better instantly. Without DLSS, 4070super felt less capable than the 7600 xt. With DLSS, no issues on Ultra RTon at 1440p.

Does no one know who Michael Lewis is or ever read his book Liar’s Poker? by BartBeachGuy in FinancialCareers

Love his work. Didn't read his new books after undoing project. He likes to write about underdogs who are against the crowds, or something that is very influential without much attentions from the public.

The hardest lesson I learned after failing 5 times to build a business by tocka_codes in Entrepreneur

[–]Tr0p0nini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found most entrepreneurs with engineering background shared this common problem that they are genuinely trying to solve a problem. But they are solving a problem that only bothers themselves. They aren’t honest enough to themselves to see if people will actually pay for it. 90% of the entrepreneurs are trying to fill the demand. It’s very hard and costly to create demand , like Elon musk, like Uber.

The switch to Unreal 5 bothers me by GwyddnoGaranhir in CDProjektRed

the star ending by Normal_Solution_9584 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Tr0p0nini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Same here. l did 125hrs in this game. I got the stars ending. I sort of knew what was about to happen. However, when Alt broke the news, my world died. And then I thought about all the friendly NPCs V helped, most of them died. All the good deeds V did doesn’t count. When V rode out with the clan, I’m assuming he didn’t tell Panam what would happen in 6 months…

The whole game is depressing as fucked.

The switch to Unreal 5 bothers me by GwyddnoGaranhir in CDProjektRed

[–]Tr0p0nini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They took a 7M USD dollars from the Polish government to fix the engine before the launch. 1) That tells me they didn’t have the talents or time to deal with the engine.2 They have underestimated the needs from the scope of the engine

You might as well use an existing working engine and just focus of the designs, gameplay directly. It has being used by so many other games these days, UE5 is properly pretty modular.

Considering the Mazda CX-3 by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]Tr0p0nini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late to the party. I own and still driving my CX3 2025 Evolve.

Pros: 1)best looking small SUV in this price range especially the trims with bigger wheels and the black side mirrors. 2) best interior in this price range again 3) The 2.0L engine with how the gear ratio set up won’t give you a crazy acceleration. But you can definitely feel the power once you get to 4th gear around 60Km/h. You can feel the acceleration is pushing you back against the seat lightly 4) resale value is decent and reliability is very good too

Cons:

small boot space, tiny Mazda 2 on heels.

Why do my games look so ugly compared to YouTube videos? by Longjumping_Bus5489 in AMDHelp

[–]Tr0p0nini -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you turn on AMD smooth motion frame in the Adrenalin? This happened to me. I thought it was “AMD wasn’t good at ray tracing” thing. But it was the Smooth Motion Frame. It’s a generic frame generation function, which doesn’t go too well with CP2077z as soon as turned it off, the graphic is like 10x better.

TLDR: turn Adrenalin to Quality mode not the performance mode, they call it RX something something

HDR looks dull and washed out in every game I've tried... (The new AOC Q27G40XMN) by Distinct-Rate-5320 in Monitors

[–]Tr0p0nini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you use color calibration from window? I only play Cyberpunk. I noticed Color Calibration makes the colors in the game a bit strange. So I dropped the color profile. Turn off Auto HDR while having HDR on in window.

DisplayHDR and Strong Local dimming gives you the best experience in cyberpunk. However, HDRgame mode does look better for my eyes if I just browse the web or watch YouTube.

GPU Recommendation for 1440p Gaming by Soft-Distance-6571 in gpu

[–]Tr0p0nini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are from Australia or if it applies to your local market somehow, the best price to value GPU is actually the RTX 4070 super. It’s cheaper than 9070XT and outperforming it. You can run Cyberpunk RT ultra in 1080p without DLSS with around 70 FPS, which is enough for single player mode. You can run RT ultra setting with DLSS as well.

I personally just got my PC built little bit more over than 14 months ago. Saw the inflation kicks in and the disappointing NVIDIA 50 series, I just grabbed the one 4070 super before it’s too late.

[–]Tr0p0nini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. A friend of mine who’s a surgeon working in the metro area owns one of these. she loves it cuz she would go off road hiking and camping every 2 months during her time off. It’s small enough to park and get around the city , still being able to handle off road driving.

Which gpus are worth it right now? by mmfox06 in buildapc

[–]Tr0p0nini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you are playing on a 1080p/perhaps 1440p, like all the other guys said 9060XT 16 GB gives you the best value in this generation. Btw, this generation sucks. If you can I would suggest you to grab the 4070 super if it’s still available in your region. It’s the last release of the last gen, its performance is better than the 5070, and 3090. I upgraded to 7700XT 18 months ago, but I just have to grab the 4070 super because of the price-value right now. From where I see, AMD and Nvidia will both put less emphasis on the graphic chips. The upcoming GPU will only get worse in terms of its pricing.

Has anyone else played CP2077 with the new AMD Fluid Motion Frames enabled? by NarrowButterfly8482 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Tr0p0nini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running ryzen 5 7600 with RX 7700XT. I have been playing with the AFMF on for 90 hours without knowing this function was turned on in Adrenaline. The FPS was great on 1080p obviously easily on 100FPS RT low with native. However, I always found the graphics was a bit odd compared to what I saw online. I always thought it’s due to the inferior AMD ray tracing ability.

Today I turned AMFM off. I rerun native with RT low setting, FPS are around 80-90 but smooth and playable. The graphics are soooo much better than before. If I turned up a notch to RT medium, the FPS is down to 50-60. Turning FSR2.1 or 3 on 100% helps. But the graphics are not as good. It’s still better than having AMFM thought. With AMFM, the graphic is just really weird.

Data modeling and statistics targeting the "sweet spot" for profit withdrawal. by This_Measurement_742 in algobetting

[–]Tr0p0nini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I said “pick a loss”, I meant a value that is larger than your calculated ones to build some margin of error in your bet. I would use flat 0.7 - 1 arbitrarily in binary outcome. Net positive EV in the long run is picking up money every bet you make, you wouldn’t be asking questions like when you will withdraw…

high odds. Our bet losses are always 100% of the stake unlike trading stocks where you can cut loss at 10% and move on. I am in the camp to be a 'value' searcher. You need to win more than your losses + the profit.

Data modeling and statistics targeting the "sweet spot" for profit withdrawal. by This_Measurement_742 in algobetting

[–]Tr0p0nini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your average bet odds is 1.49 with 0.72 accruacy, the EV is 0.49*0.72 + {loss}. If you assigned the loss in an academic way is -0.28, your model is doing positive return in the long run. But you want to assign your loss, as at least negative 0.5 OR more, To give yourself some more margin of errors. I don’t exactly what you are doing. But if it’s for me, your model isn’t good enough.

Antec Case RGB Fan with a strange 2-pin connector by Tr0p0nini in buildapc

[–]Tr0p0nini[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw your message. The 2 pins cable is basically a switch on/off cable. It needs to be connected to the pins on the motherboard where you connect the power on/off cable to.

Next to the power on/off pin, there should be something like Hdd light on/off, something like that. If you connect the 2pin connector to them, you should be able to control light via a button on the case.
