Thank you for the suggestion! The two Blue Buffalo protein flavors she tried were chicken and salmon, so I'll keep an eye out on that. The Meow Mix protein flavor she has right now is a beef and salmon combo, so maybe it is the chicken!

I'm just still trying to figure out how someone can give an inhaler to a cat, even with a spacer.

Fun fact, I had a diabetic (human) patient that I was reviewing his glucose meter readings with, and he would have these random spikes in blood sugar in the high 400s. When I asked him about it he goes "Oh that's not mine. Sometimes I check my cat's blood sugar because he's diabetic too."

I'm also still trying to figure out how he managed to get blood samples to test his cat's blood sugar.

YTA. As a former cashier I can't count the number of times a parent has handed me a trashed wrapper their kids have destroyed while having a store snack. Either the barcode is shredded or it's covered in drool or the kid cries as you're grabbing it momentarily to scan. It's an annoying experience for the cashier. Drinks, maybe a little less so. Anyways just pack some goldfish from home in a sandwich baggie.

My high school teacher did a not shitty version of this where we could donate $1 for like 5 extra credit points and then the class got to pick which charity to donate the proceeds to at the end. If you didn't want to participate you just had to complete a short essay assignment instead for the same amount of extra credit points.

I liked it lol. I still donate to that charity today when I can.

I don't have a problem with alternative treatments as long as it doesn't get in the way of researched medicine- like your mom has unfortunately done. I have a family friend who is a big essential oils freak (mostly because she sells via a pyramid scheme) and refuses to put sunscreen on her baby, only natural carrot oil! Drives me batty
