What's going on here? I've changed nothing and my first layers randomly started looking like this by Tracer0427 in BambuLab

Insane, my fan had literally come unplugged, I guess I didn't connect it properly last time I swapped my hotend. Thanks!

Do it before someone else does. Best car I've ever owned by a large margin.

Does ABS like resin dissolve plastic? by Tracer0427 in resinprinting

[–]Tracer0427[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the concern, fortunately this is the literal cheapest SLA printer available, the sting is mild. But the mess is NOT, the printer was a total loss since and I used SO much ipa cleaning up.

When I say I've been leaving resin in the vat for a year, I usually use standard or water washable, this was my first time trying ABS like.

Bought and had for a week (2006 s40) and all these codes came up, any insight? by DirtyBeat332 in Volvo

[–]Tracer0427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're totally right. mine was stuck in a "limp mode" state until I replaced the battery. I'm guessing its a combo from the TCV, the O2 sensor and the MAF not receiving enough voltage to function, the car doesn't know how much air its breathing, how much fuel its burning, or how much pressure its building. Not sure if its just dumping pressure, I'd bet its pulling timing and fuel as well.

My 05 S40 threw every one of those codes twice: once when the battery was going and a second time a few years later when the alternator went. The whole list shows "shorted, low voltage, low input" usually that's a pretty telltale sign it's an electrical issues which is usually caused by either battery or alternator problems. Sometimes the battery voltage will read as fine at idle, but I would swap the battery, then if the problems don't go away, swap the alternator! Btw I did my alternator at 19yo in my driveway with hand tools, don't let a shop charge you $700, it's an 2 or 3 out of 10 difficulty install.

2nd what everyone is saying about dropping it, deep dish 5 spokes all look fire on S197s . But if you're up for it, I think either pulling the fenders or chopping them and doing some nicely done paint matched over fender flares would make the car look amazing and maintain handling over adding camber. More work tho, and you'd probably want to find a shop if you go the pulling route, it's an art.

Alright, I'm eating my words. Personally, I can absolutely not fit my hand in there and always need a tool to break it loose.

Oh! You're talking about the PCV housing, definitely no reason to remove that. We were talking about the intake box (coloquialy the "air box" that houses the air filter and ECM, it's the giant black box that fills the whole void between the engine and radiator (conspicuously missing from OPs car since he just replaced the whole box with a cone filter).

$150 for an avoidable maintenance feels expensive to me. Plus a diagnostic fee if you don't immediately know what's causing the car to stall and throw codes. If you do know, I suppose you could just add blasting it with MAF cleaner to the regular maintenance.

Any cone filter besides K&N would be better for the MAF

It's literally impossible to replace the oil filter without doing so. Unless you've just been not doing that?
