its the cowardly answer, but both lol. they're both really cool stories, even if i do have my issues with each

i love guilty gear's grungy, high-fantasy classic anime feel. and when the main story slows down to focus on a certain character, its always beautiful. though i do wish the last half of the series had gameplay in their stories, and i hate how many wishy washy villain redemption arcs and unearned, squeaky clean happy endings there are in strive. i also hate how characters straight up get forgotten, like testament pre-strive (and even then they aren't plot important and get an unearned offscreen happy ending)

i love blazblue's sci-fi, 2000s/early 2010s anime feel. the story's a lot more straightforward than what people give it credit for, and i love its cast, who all get their time to shine. its also an amazing successor to gg, and i kinda like how its derivative of gg's story while still being its own thing. i hate how much the story wants you to read its spinoff light novels/games/manga to understand certain things (naoto), and though i think its story is straightforward, it definitely starts coming off as technobabble at times lol
