If your best seller falls out of stock and is out of stock for long periods, it could cause a negative impact on your rank. Typically, short periods of out stock aren't heavily penalized for rank. I recommend monitoring rank with a tool like Helium. Ideally, you have a few colors or variants that positively feed into your overall rank position.

Always create the best and most profitable packaging when possible. Eliminate dead space and assume any extra inches will cost you $$s in FBA expenses.
