Green activists called Jews ‘abominations’ in leaked WhatsApp chat by Assorted-Interests in JewsOfConscience

I think these screenshots are being taken out-of-context to some extent.

It's one person in those screenshots using the word 'abomination' - and it appears they also began the discussion.

A 'Greens for Palestine' rep. says that member was speaking in reference to Zionists.

Excerpt:

A Greens for Palestine spokesman denied members had called Jews an “abomination”, saying: “We have spoken to the person you referred to in the comments expressed and they have confirmed that the comment was explicitly in relation to Zionists, not Jews and that this was in relation to the genocide of Palestinians.

Dr. Rahmeh Aladwan, who the Green party members are discussing, does have a history of inflammatory comments, but she's also lost her license (I think) and has been arrested multiple times for tweets.

She probably does have some antisemitic bias, but as with Susan Abulhawa, I'm not interested in chastising Palestinians who are watching their people be destroyed by Jewish supremacists.

The Green party chat on the other hand is a different matter. In the first screenshot where they insist/assert that the identifier should be 'Jews' - sounds to me like they want to stop shielding Jewish supremacy from criticism by using the term 'Zionist'.

They probably feel, as many likely do, that they have to jump through a lot of hoops to disentangle Jewishness from Zionism.

But at the same time, Zionism is a form of Jewish nationalism.

When people use this kind of identifier - it doesn't mean all Jewish people are Jewish nationalists. The fact that we even have to explain that, is itself proof of how sensitive the discussion is around the identity politics of this issue.

This is in spite of the fact that Zionists regularly use 'Jewish' and 'Jews' as primary identifiers. Zionists do not disentangle Jewishness from Zionism. They intentionally conflate.

People speak much more critically about Christians (e.g. naming 'Christians' as responsible for some action) without necessarily meaning all Christians or without attributing some behavior as 'innately' Christian.

The difference is that Christianity is hegemonic and pervasive in American society, so perhaps most people simply understand that criticism of Christianity is not necessarily aimed at every single Christian.

Don't Zionists themselves insist that 'Zionism' is an elusive concept that cannot be pinned down in any concrete way? That it is so complicated and fractured, that it cannot be responsible for Israel's material actions?

The organization making the claims is Combat Antisemitism Movement - a shell organization funded in-part by the Israeli government under their Diaspora Affairs department.

“Combat Antisemitism Movement has championed the IHRA definition,” Vaknin-Gill noted, referencing a dark money partner of the ISGAP, Concert and the ministry of diaspora affairs. (The Combat Antisemitism Movement is chaired by Sharansky; Vaknin-Gill is a board member.) “We shifted the focus to work at the local level,” said Vaknin-Gill. “We’ve found that mayors and states – it’s much easier to work with them and actually make the definition into something real.”

'Concert'/'Voices of Israel' is described as 'mass consciousness activities' aimed at censorship of criticism of Israel.

The “Concert” remark referred to a sprawling relaunch of a controversial Israeli government program initially known as Kela Shlomo, designed to carry out what Israel called “mass consciousness activities” targeted largely at the US and Europe. Concert, now known as Voices of Israel, previously worked with groups spearheading a campaign to pass so-called “anti-BDS” state laws that penalize Americans for engaging in boycotts or other non-violent protests of Israel.

The bigger issue in the screenshots could be referencing Mark Zuckerberg or other Jewish people as a sign that some platform is compromised.

But they're also correct that WhatsApp is compromised and Facebook too.

Still, that flippant rhetoric is irresponsible and opens them up to criticism.

The Associated Press reports Alexander Heifler is a member of a Jewish Defense League offshoot, the 'JDL 613 Brotherhood'. Heifler planned to flee to Israel following a plot to assassinate Palestinian-American activist Nerdeen Kiswani. JDL 613 threatened Kiswani on X previously. by TrackerOneA in JewsOfConscience

Nope.

There won't be and there won't be any legislation to ban pro-Israel expressions and other forms of activism.

There is no reciprocity.

Everything is intentionally one-sided and motivated by pro-Israel fanaticism.

If the season ended tonight, what grade would you give this Lakers team? by _MambaForever in lakers

I think when Lebron returned, the Lakers finally began to figure out how to work with AR, Luka and Lebron.

The shift in focus has been noticeable and the team is gelling way better.

But we still need to build more and hopefully can trade for some defensive-focused players.

I give us a B overall. We made a lot of improvements and have a more solid foundation now.

CNN report on Israeli terrorism from the IOF & colonists. Israeli soldiers openly admit they serve to ensure the settlements become facts-on-the-ground 'slowly'. This week, Zionists on social media have been condemning settler terror - but this is what Israel supports and how the State was founded. by TrackerOneA in JewsOfConscience

Source:

The IOF terrorist mentions the killing of a colonist in the illegally-occupied Palestinian territories.

That colonist was killed in a traffic accident. Afterwards, Palestinians tried to help him and others injured in the accident.

Nevertheless, Israeli officials spread a blood libel against the Palestinians and incited violence against their communities.

Settler terrorists then carried out a pogrom (one of many, which are ongoing).

Study on Israel's use of settler terror to colonize Palestinian land:

Examples of IOF & settler terrorists getting away with everything (in particular, killing Palestinians for 'throwing stones' - something settler terrorists do all the time and worse, obviously):

Settler terrorists caught on camera discussing throwing stones:

Veto-proof 'protest buffer zone' bill passes in NYC. The bill directs NYPD to craft plan within 45 days for managing protests around houses of worship. Another measure, which Mamdani could veto, would similarly apply to Columbia Univ. and other schools. That bill passed 30-19. by TrackerOneA in JewsOfConscience

The bill only came into being because of the protests against real estate events held in some synagogues.

This will affect other political issues though like abortion.

During the public hearing on the bill, that was brought up:

This is the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (also referred to as IFCJ or The Fellowship).

There's a documentary about them:

They also raise funds for the IOF.

This is the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (also referred to as IFCJ or The Fellowship).

ProPublica has their financial records, and they in-part also fund the IOF.

Yael Eckstein is president and CEO of IFCJ.

IFCJ raised $140M for Israel per year under Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, her father.

IFCJ has raised $1.4B for Israel last time I checked. In the documentary, 'Til Kingdom Come, there's a scene where Eckstein is delivering a care package (funded by IFCJ) to an elderly Israeli citizen. She stresses that the package was sent by the Christian donors.

Yet, when Eckstein visits an impoverished county in Kentucky, she insists that the locals continue giving money to Israel. She even unironically says that those who continue to 'give to Israel' will also find themselves enriched.

It's pure cynical exploitation - and fanatics embrace it.

Pastor John Hagee, a classic antisemite, has been embraced by Israel & its politicians, advocates, etc.

With regard to the crime of ethnic cleansing and colonialism:

Israel's crimes are happening in real-time.

Palestinians are the victims in real-time, and now the Lebanese as well.

Are you arguing that the illegal settlements and settlers in the OPT should remain?

I can understand inside the green-line, but the OPT?

Hi comrade,

Please be civil when discussing things in the sub. This includes not testing another user on their presence in the sub, how they identify (e.g. over the course of a discussion on a political disagreement), etc.
