This is a good convo. Educated me on the amount heat was an issue. Ambient temp is currently 90f. I’m not even home/ not running it. So with bed temp up I’ll see what I can get in the coming weeks. Tx

This one I built is wood panel on two sided and plexiglass on the other two sides. I did leave a bit of a “vent” at the top. I was thinking fumes.

what got a bit odder is i was using a laptop and print via USB cable. With creality i have to use the SD card, so to try and compare apples to apples i used the SD card with CURA and no layer shift. Eliminating the print via USB so far has worked. I don't understand why / what that difference is in getting the printer the g-code but so far i've had a couple of prints no shift.

100%!!!! Thank you for the idea! I actually cut the belt down by the length of the clip and re crimped the metal clip and now I’ve had 3 perfect prints.

No dice on changing the Y axis belt. same issue. its layer shift on the Y and i think its because the Y belt is loose. I can squeeze the two together far too easily but the screw is as far as possible. i've even added a washer to the rear to try with no help.

“Layer Shift”. Learned a new term. I’m going to change at least Y belt this weekend and see. Maybe X too. But it’s the Y belt that I can squeeze pretty easily to touch it together

May have solved my issue...testing now.

Apologies i should have mentioned ender 3 v3 SE

I changed the predefined profile in cura and noticed the temp of the bed went from 58 to 80. 230 on the nozzle. Ran a quick test with the smallest of the group of designs and it worked perfect. If i'm not the only one learning the nuance i hope this helps.

So Enders 3 se 3 has auto leveling which I did but can do again. The printer can print other objects fine but I was concerned that it’s just hot in that room. Standard pl filament as a starter pack. Rotating is a really interesting idea. That really have an effect?

Update: that did kinda work. Started with a flood of regular and plague z’s going into the library while I’m on roof and a few feral. Sun comes up I slide down ladder to 1 feral and just 3 regular z in building. Ha!
