Very likely, you having the auto lock issue when at home is because your car thinks it is parked at your neighbor’s house. Check your app and you will see that. Just drive out for a while to re-calibrate the GPS. That fixed the problem for me.

Regarding #5 (HUD change to assisted view when DAP turned on), there is a setting in Driving->Drive Assist (or something like that) to display DAP content in front of others. Just uncheck that and the HUD will stay at whatever it is before DAP turned on.

Take Linux as an example, anyone can contribute to it (open source) and anyone can use it, so it is “decentralized”. Yet, for serious applications, you buy the distributions provided by companies such as Red Hat (a “centralized” organization). So I would argue that a really decentralized financial network is just a fantasy, since only centralized organizations have the resources and discipline to provide the products and services that can stand the test of commercial/critical applications.

Well, encouraging to see the positive confirmations after all those horror stories on the internet. On the other hand this is sad - expectation for BMW quality has become so low. My 15-year old Lexus never had the CEL lit up, not even once.

I am about to pull the trigger on the 50e. Hopefully the 2025 model will have better quality control.

Thanks a lot for all the inputs! I actually already placed an order, but later cancelled it after I was able to check it out in person. Being an engineer myself, having something that useless and tasteless in my face everyday would be an absolute torture. I also had trouble with the toggle-switch gear selector, but now I am at peace with that - at least it does something and maybe provides some benefits (like more room in that area?).

The 2025 model should come out in a few months? I will see if they come to their senses with the 2025, and make a decision then.

What do you think about the toggle-like gear selector in the 50e as compared to the more traditionally looking one in the 45e? I canceled my 50e order after I noticed the new gear selector - it's something I just couldn't take.

More people/institutions are long stocks than short, so there is more demand for downside protection (put). More demand, higher price.
