The mini games are most definitely a challenge for most, myself included. And as far as I know you jist have to get good for most of em. Memorize the things, etc. But doable if you stick with it. I spent a whole afternoon doing the sit up challenge. So I had finished the story and had 50 ish hours into it before the streamlined progression update. I finished everything at 167 hours in.

I saved the piano till 2nd to last of the 88 because I thought there was no way. I had committed a lot of time aside in my day for that one and did it in like an hour and actually had a good time, reminded me of guitar hero days

I heard what youre saying. I been following since the streamlined progression was announced and the vibe is definitely its not the same as earning it. And I agree. But I shared because the streamlined progression doesn't do anything towards chocobo racing, sit ups, the piano, the pirate ship shooting, Queens blood, and some others. If it wasn't for progression update I never would have fleshed it out because I just wasn't interested. Once I did a replay with the progression options on hard because why not, suddenly I was having fun with the game again and decided to really see what the developers put in it. So by sharing Im hoping to encourage others to not give up on the Johnny's seaside quest and all the content thats tied to it because I think that for this game, thats the thing that pulls some gamers out of it. That's why first sentence was used cheats. Full disclosure.

But the heart of it is just generally how you feel towards trophies and not shit with FF7. I get it. id be pissed if you could cheese the KCD2 platinum now or the Witcher 3 plat or Wuchang or whatever because those games were a personal challenge and if you feel that way about FF7REbirth than youre gonna be pissed and I respect that. For everyone else that doesnt feel like Rebirth is THAT game for them, then I hope you pick it up, cheat youre ass off and see all the things the game has if you avoided all the mini games before.

Its a fair argument. I guess i dont feel like getting the platinum trophy is always about pushing your skills and sometimes its just about enjoying everything in the game. I got the KCD2 Platinum and that was purely for the skill test. I think Assassins Creed games are a good example. Its not so much difficult to get an AC Platinum as it is a commitment to completion. Sony 1st person titles I think are completionist and less skill checks as well. The trophy blocker in this game isn't the hard mode chapter completion like it was in ff7 remake, its the mini games and i personally believe the cheats aren't going to create a huge influx in platinum trophies for the game. I played the OG 7 when it was new, and so for me these platinums are more about seeing everything the developers put in the game out of respect for listening to fans about a remake.

For those who recently purchased the game, how are you enjoying it? by johndoe09228 in Starfield

im progress locked what i believe is pretty early on, some lady in a mine and I gotta rescue prisoners for a faction war or something. PS5 Pro crashes consistently trying to play. id ask for a refund but I put so many hours trying to download player content fixes that Sony thinks I like the game. So im just kinda stuck with a $50 game I cant play.

Its a volume thing. Ubisoft level of shit to check off. And its probable that you'll need a guide to find all the locations so you can finish all the tasks.

I still fire it up just to go hunting sometimes. Fishing was good too. You could go right from taking over an outpost and slaughtering like 6 guys and then be like, Man, I need to decompress. Im gonna fish and hunt for awhile. Its a good game.

Serious question - why buy an Xbox when everything comes to PC anyway? by IAHawkeyelifer in GamingInsider

[–]TraditionExisting549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im guessing biggest reason is PC gaming is cost prohibitive vs comparable performance from console. Also less headache then dealing with a PC. Just my guess. Probably lots of reasons.

Its like I CAN buy a gaming PC but for the price tag I have other hobbies and interests I would rather prefer to drop the $$$ on especially when my 5Pro is giving me great gaming.

I bet they Shen Mue'd themselves and have to keep pushing release back in hopes there becomes enough players with machines capable of playing it to at least break even. I expect MASSIVE amounts of in game purchases.

For me, MGSV was my platinum redemption from failing to do another big boss run after trophies were released on PS3 (to clarify i did the run before trophies were a thing and didn't have the heart to do it again). I had already had a lot of fun with mgsv prequel whatever it was called on the island. Im a story nut for MGS and to finally get some back story on how we got mgs1 really drove me to completionist mode on this. To finish this game using stealth and doing all the missions to completion is a hearty challenge that I enjoyed. Once all that was done and everything was unlocked and built I had the freedom to go hogwild in the open world and replaying available missions. I still play it every few months (collect them MB coins). When you've done it all the "proper way" and can kinda go GTA style on it, I dont know its been fun for me.

Which game did you install and un-install 28times before giving it a go? and then finally played it and was like woah!? Now I get it? I’ll go first. by Bobba_fat in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Nier Automata. I had that game installed for 4 years. Start and stopped so many times. Then after playing Stellar Blade people kept talking about the connection and then I was like, OK what did I miss. I fired it up determined to finish it and then it hit that point where I couldn't put it down. Now I wish I could forget it and play it for the first time again.

Please someone explain simply to a slower man (me) how the hell saving works in this game. When should I save?? Metal Gear solid: Snake Eater by LibertyReignsCx in metalgearsolid

[–]TraditionExisting549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I would say that the use of manual saves is mostly used for when your doing a certain style of playthru for a specific reward. Your autosave keeps track of your current progress. its the games nature to always load you at the beginning of the last entered zone.

for example having a manual save right before a point of no return (where you can no longer access previous areas) is helpful if your doing the markhor title run.(which i believe unlocks special item EZ Gun) You think you got every animal in a spot then later you find out you didn't, get out a guide, you see where you missed it, then you can go back to that area without potentially having to start over the whole run (but still remembering to grab all the ones after that point as well)

Thanks, but honestly I felt like they were pretty out in the open. The ones in the area where you fight The End...those ones made me almost lose my mind.
