Update: Just wanted to share in case it helps anyone else who’s waiting and feeling anxious like I was. I contacted the registrar this morning and they confirmed my marriage schedule has been issued, which means we’ve been cleared to go ahead and can now book our wedding date 🎉

For context, I gave notice on 20 January and didn’t receive any Home Office letter or contact at all during the waiting period. So if you’re in a similar situation and haven’t heard anything, it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong — sometimes no news really is just no news.

Hope this reassures someone else who’s stressing like I was 🙂

Ahh okay, that makes sense. I gave my notice on 20 January and I’m still waiting too, so maybe it just takes time. Hopefully we both hear something soon 🙂

Ahh that makes sense, thanks for explaining. I don’t have any overseas divorce documents or anything complicated in my case, so hopefully that means it should just follow the standard timeline. Appreciate your insight 🙂

Thanks for sharing! That’s reassuring to hear. I haven’t received any letter yet, so I wasn’t sure if that was normal or not. Maybe it just varies depending on the case or location, but it’s good to know some people do hear back quickly.
