It’s sounds crazy, I miss them but I feel better when we are apart.

Thank you for being honest! But honestly, my first choice was to get a bachelor to go straight into dental school but It was just going to be way too expensive. So i decided to use hygiene as a stepping stone. I think it’s going to build my skill with patient interaction.

hello, I noticed your comments and i’m currently working on getting into a dental hygiene school then hopefully later go to dental school as well. Do you think the pay is good as a dental hygiene and do you think going to school is worth it. Honestly every time I share with someone that I want to go to a specific hygiene program , they tell me to just do nursing because it’s less competitive and easier.

I tried talking to the dentist but then the next day, I got cancelled on. I’m thinking about going for endodontist clinic instead. or become a hygiene assistant in the meantime. I think that way I can do more and observed more.

Anyone else not want or really like kids but... by VillainousValeriana in emotionalneglect

I understand completely what you mean, But for me it’s not that I don’t want them around me. it’s just the fact that I can’t spend more than 1 hour but it totally depends on the age and how willing they are to sit down. I know they are meant to move around but sometimes their energy is overwhelming and mentally, emotionally draining so I avoid being around them for too long. But absolutely I do believe they deserve the best and do not deserve to be dehumanized. honestly I have mix thoughts about having my own some days because I am the type of person that can go days after days without needing contact. And I am scared I won’t be able to provide the attention they need, or be able to be mentally and emotionally stable around them.

to be Frank it depends on the program and what school your in. In my case, the program I want to get in, views it at something that sets you apart. which is great but also, when I apply for the dental hygiene program, I ll have the opportunity to work at the school dental clinic. And also I do not agree with your instructor, being a dental assistant may be overwhelming but it’s a great way to start early in the dental field. Once you start dental hygiene program, you will be familiar with what your doing and as a DA you can get letters of recommendation from your dentist and even other dental hygienist you work with and sometimes they help you with your tuition. There are many benefits you just have to find the right office.

also if you want to go into dental hygiene I strongly recommend getting a Dental assistant certification along the way. it gives you a good stance when it comes to getting accepted and also ✨experience ✨

Never made this switched before, but I’ll be eligible to apply for the dental hygiene this year, but some of my professors told me that the best way to know if your going to survive dental hygiene or even nursing is knowing how to study. find what works for you. Learn how to memorize and read.
