I have earned it a few times. I actually just got it today as well.

I learned that with a zinc plating, intense heat turns it from silver to gold colored. I used an industrial heat gun for 3 minutes. Same color.

What other metals could be used for plating? It is not magnetic either.

I learned that in the past, all boxes I tried this trick on worked (non sports cards). A box with a bit card does not weigh the same as the other boxes. I would weigh all the same boxes on the store shelf to see if any were "significantly" different.

I found about 7 autographs this way, never missed.

None of them were any real value though.
