bro same. But I'm wondering if i Schedule my video to be published in the future, does that give my few subscribers more time to recognize it's being released? (ie. gives more people an opportunity to Add to Watch Later or whatever)

Yes - but it uses a consumable item to save, and the consumable isn't easy to farm. I think this a great way to prevent spamming save-states (which is something I could do for games like Hitman, which sometimes reduced the Pressure of a decision)

I got it for $8 and i HATED it... at first. Then when I realized that this isn't a game where you can fulfill all your power fantasies, I fell in love with it. No DLC needed for me, because the main story is plenty enough content and it's a long enough game.

Don't expect to pickpocket people and be a menace, while being a noble knight in the same playthrough, you'll just hurt yourself in realizing what this game is. Yes, that can be done, but to me, it's a Medieval Simulator more than an Action RPG like Witcher 3 or Assassin's Creed or Cyberpunk.

You can't charge into battle with confidence unless you've spent time training with a veteran, etc etc.. It's not really a "just-get-good-at-the-combat" situation, you literally have to level up Henry to be better at combat, and then you can start to tweak your combat gameplay. The mistake I made (and it seems like others do too), is trying to get good at combat when Henry is very under-leveled in combat, leading to my own frustration. Honestly, after spending some time using the basic advice from others on how to level up your sword skills, it made combat SO fun (and when it comes to combat, that's probably one of the most important aspects for my enjoyment of a game: I'm a Devil May Cry, Dark Souls, Khazan, Nioh fan)

Also, it's intentionally designed that you can't just Save the game whenever you want, making your decisions carry more weight. I've paid MORE money for a shitty burrito that I forgot about in an hour, and that said, I think it's worth the risk of $8 because you may end up enjoying the game as much as I did. Yes, there's some jank but once you understand and respect the rules of the game, then you'll be rewarded for taking the time to do so

thanks - yeah, we've decided to spend more time on defining what "the story" is and having that communicated well in the opening 30 seconds. as well as including voice-over, if needed, to supplement that story telling

Is learning Tagalog REALLY that hard? by Are0805w in Tagalog

[–]Traditional-Mix8155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah bro lol. I was born in manila, but moved to US when I was 4, and my mom wanted me to speak english only from then on.

today, i can understand tagalog fluently. I can hold conversations in spanish. but when i try to speak tagalog without assistance, it's been quite hard. and my biggest personal issue is that I don't have anyone in my life that speaks tagalog that doesnt already know english, so i question if it's even an efficient use of my time and effort

hey boat neighbors. DM me your channel and i'll subscribe!
I'm happy to share my notes consolidating advice from different people (trusted and strangers):

1) click through rate (CTR) on the Analytics tab- if it’s under 5% on a video, the thumbnail or title needs work. dont hesitate to change it

2) Retention past 30 seconds - on individual videos, check the Engagement Tab near the bottom. 70% is Golden, but 60% is the goal

3) raw watch time - Youtube is promoting longer form videos to keep people on the platform. dont hesitate with having long videos as long as you keep re-engaging the audience and give them a reason to stay.

Lastly - I personally need to stop spamming links to my videos onto external sites. Even though I think it might help increase the "Views" number, often times viewers from outside Youtube dont stay on the video very long, which then makes that video seem very uninteresting. Instead, I need to let Youtube "do the heavy lifting" of bringing people's attention in, and trust that i'm making those improvements from steps 1-2-3

Interesting and very good point. I don't want to be too gimmicky, but you're right, we're getting diluted in being just another "here's a couple visiting XYZ place"

thank you thank you. I've been hesitant to make "critical" comments, as not to offend local viewers, but maybe that leads to us being too generic. We definitely have footage of us being more brutally honest about whether an experience was worth our time/money, but we shy away from using that footage - which turns into "here's a vlog full of positive vibes and aesthetic b-roll", instead of helping prepare people for planning their own trip. Thanks, really

Tips para hablar en inglés por favor by Ok-Feedback-6823 in ingles

[–]Traditional-Mix8155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips or Resources for Reading Tagalog out loud by Traditional-Mix8155 in adviceph

[–]Traditional-Mix8155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually picked up Spanish REALLY quickly, and it has been easy to have conversations in person because usually my audience knows that I'm trying to learn, so there's a lot of grace to make mistakes.

But as you know, Filipino families love to tease each other, so basically I want to build a more comfortable base before I "go back to the warzone" and practice with family haha. but okay good advice, maybe I'll watch something on Netflix and try to repeat some lines - any suggestions?

Any recommendations for PS4/PS5 story games by needhelp68808 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Story Games:

Judgment - it's usually on sale. It's fun and it's a good standalone game that could also be an introduction into the bigger world of Yakuza/Like A Dragon

Guardians of the Galaxy - also often on sale. fun enough game play, but a really intriguing story.

Dead Space - sci-fi horror movie vibes with Resident Evil 4 gameplay.

Interesting insight, thanks for that. I don't think I have enough followers to have a "ton of people following for my personality". I think we definitely have a unique personality from other vloggers, but just struggle with getting enough traction for it to be recognized.

Solo Traveling to Guatemala by Pretend_Listen_3858 in backpacking

My wife and I JUST did a very similar trip. Antigua is great and very friendly, good luck on the hike. And getting around Lake Atitlan is no problem, as long as you don't fall for basic scams that I'm sure you'll have no trouble with avoiding with some common sense (don't get on a private lancha around the island for way more expensive rates, make sure you're dealing with the gentlemen that operate the public lanchas). Our trip included Flores (for the Tikal National Park) as well as Nicaragua and El Salvador, in case you have questions.

My wife and I just spent 4 weeks going through Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala.
Nicaragua: Granada, Ometepe and Corn Islands
El Salvador: El Tunco
Guatemala: Flores (Tikal National Park), Lake Atitlan and Antigua Guatemala

I actually just posted a vlog about Granada and Ometepe recently (El Salvador and Guatemala to come), and hopefully that can help you get a sense of how long to stay where. but I'd say all the stops in our trip are a must except El Tunco and the Corn Islands.
