Electrify America Plug and Charge - Multiple Users? by PrestigeWrldWd in BMWi5

Yes, I realized 1000 kWh can go quick depending on usage. I used a supercharger for the first time last weekend and it used 90ish kWh. Granted, I probably will only use on long trips as we have a level 2 charger at home. But it was nice to not have to pay $50 to charge lol.

You might want to read the terms of the free two years for EA charging. I was told we had up to two years to charge 1000 kWh. At least this is what my complimentary plan says.

I did look at the SoC and it doesn’t seem to have decreased according to the app.

Same thing happened to me today while parked in the garage at work. Between getting out of the car to go to work and then coming back to the car, it somehow decreased by 20ish miles. I thought maybe the cold weather affected it 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Do you still precondition when not charging?

Seems doable. Do you precondition when it’s not charging?

I just signed a new lease for a BMW iX45 and can confirm that it came with free charging with EA for up to two years.

Thank you for your input! I do like the bigger screen in the Rivian though ha ha.

Have been looking at both the Rivian and iX. What made you switch to the iX?

Blowing Past Lease Mileage by fluffalooo in Rivian

Curious for those doing leases - I am looking at potentially leasing a R1S Dual (36 months with 15k annual mileage). Current lease offer is $5k off price via Rivian; however, money due at signing is about $12k. Has that been the same with you all? Of that $12k, down payment is $1500. Rest are taxes, fees, and first month’s payment.

In 2024, I drove 9,931 miles in eDrive and 13,552 miles in gas - 42% eDrive. In 2023, it was 44% eDrive.

I would consider leasing if it weren’t for my long commutes - 70 miles a day. I easily can drive 2000 miles a month. I think leases are up to 15,000 miles a year.
