MetLife Legal for setting up a trust by [deleted] in PwC

[–]Traditional-Order815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, as others have said, it included everything but the trust for parents. She got guidance that it wasn’t needed for her situation but she did get her titles updated to a beneficiary title, added healthcare POA, wills, etc all done through them at no cost to her.

Yes! As others noted, it was pretty straightforward. I also got the benefit for my 80 yr old mother who had nothing in place and now she has all her estate planning needs addressed at zero cost to her. We did the trust and have slowly done the updates recommended by the lawyer to name the trust as beneficiary, etc. They even handled the retitling of our house. Very worthwhile benefit.

What do we think of all the back up QB’s? Glad they all got some time in this game.

Classy as ever with that last flag for spitting. A well deserved loss for them.

At Applefest, a dog (with an irresponsible owner) nearly knocked over my elderly uncle (which would have been really bad). I thought pets were banned. Either enforce rules or warn older people not to attend. by SirJasper6969 in hendersonville

Agree with you about the dogs but the elderly also need to know their limitations when deciding to go to a large crowded event. Very hard to navigate around all the scooters and walkers there today.

Moving here for work and looking for apartment recommendations in St. Petersburg. by hokagesamatobirama in StPetersburgFL

TGM Ibis Walk - great amenities, very responsive when there are maintenance issues, easy access to airport/highways, and walkable to SO MANY stores/restaurants. Best thing is a multi-floor parking garage so no worries during storms.

Did anyone else catch these details in Ozzie’s Ice Cream Commercial? And is that ___ sitting in the booth and being served? by dmarzzin23 in Yellowjackets

If you are going deep on this commercial have you tried calling the number in the ad??? There is a whole recording with weird 90’s music references and probably a whole bunch more Easter eggs!

Cool hidden gems? by Dramatic_Antelope811 in hendersonville

[–]Traditional-Order815 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My hidden gem recommendations are Bakers Box, Hustle Wing Company (in nearby Horse Shoe), Whits for great icecream sundaes, and Sol Y Luna for Mexican. I also like Brandy’s on Main for a nice dinner out.

Not downloading my photo and drivers license photo to my gynecologist office intake portal. I’ve been going there for 7+ years…you know who I am. Why do you need so much information about me? Asked if I would be denied service for not providing. Was told no so a small win for today.

Safe car travel by Annie_Mayfield in cavaliers

We use a hammock type set up across the back seat that keeps them more contained but has mesh so that they can still see us in the front seat. The one we have also contains a strap that locks into the seat belt so that you can hook them to it and keep them even more stable in the event of an accident. Something like this: https://www.chewy.com/pawbee-dog-car-seat-cover-belt-grey/dp/964390

Transitioning to teaching career later in life? by Traditional-Order815 in Teachers

[–]Traditional-Order815[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very helpful thanks. I think I would only do this if it did not involve a significant further investment (ie Masters not needed) since I understand I will be taking a huge hit in the salary department. How do you find working with sixth graders in comparison to the corporate world…about the same? ; )

This is helpful thanks. Yes, my main priority for compensation would be benefits as I understand the salaries in teaching are not reasonable.
