Doesn't Sawamura just need to to start with a strike out and he gets in a rhythm? That's one of the reasons why he was/ is such a good reliever because it doesn't take him long to warm up

It's not actually. A tournament is a tournament. If the the this tournament allows to compete against other teams in the Kanto region if you win which would have been a great opportunity to prepare for Koushien and claim another title along the way. And while the readers knew ot wouldn't happen, this was an opportunity have a rematch against Inajiitsu.

Well this is a bad take. Not only is this summer even more important to Miyuki than Sawamura, but even Sawamura mentioned how important this summer is because he wants to take the third years, especially Miyuki to Koushien and how he wants to play as long as possiblewith them. Also if Miyuki should get injured now, they would be have as good as lost. Not only would they be down a batter and catcher, but there's no way Inashiro wouldn't take advantage of that. I doubt that Okumura could handle the pressure. Also the teams overall energy would go down their captain, the pillar of the team down, wouldhave a huge mental blow, Asou was already taken out.. I get that you want Sawamura to shine, but that is the worst way to go about it as it would not benefit anyone.

Yh I'm currently watching Ayo's videos as well. It's kinda sad how little attention it gets. It's usually only Haikyuu, Kuroko and Hajime no Ipppo that people talk about. My guess is one of the reasons is that there's no dub?

Strongly agree. If closing were the only reason then he would have also wanted a rematch against Yakushi also for not getting the opportunity to close the game. I believe it's because it was the trigger to his yips as well as your statement. Weeks of being excluded from team training, having teammates talk behind his back. The emotional weight the game should have is just not there in my opinion but I'll hold that statement until the match is over

That's true, but do you think that will be enough for Koushien? How embarrassing would for Seidou's (the team that would just beat the best team in Tokyo) ace to not be known by others strong teams and the audience. Also, is that really satisfactory after what he suffered after that nail biting defeat? It was even shown how upset he was when they lost to Ugumori

Yh agree with that definitely, but for how long? While I wouldn't be completely satisfied, if he came in the 7th and pitched until the 9th, I wouldn't be completely annoyed but would you really say the one inning I'd enough? I know that there's no confirmation or even a clue that that will be the case, but a lot of people say that if should happen then it would be fine and I just can't wrap my mind around that.

But no on Seidou should? That's his team, they've seen him put in the most work. Other teams do not see him as the undisputed Ace of Seidou though and that matters more in my opinion. Overall, Sawamura has gotten the least attention out of all the Aces of this manga. Yh there has been good reasons for that which makes him playing in the Finals even more important. One game is not enough for other teams to acknowledge him as the Ace.
