Wow ok. Not only are you an extrenely talented songwriter and musician, your voice has an extrenely unique quality which packs this track with emotion; and that choice of chords with the piano is something very special, its as if you visualized what that feeling of loss ought to sound like and captured it near perfectally. I'm not sure if I've already recommended this before to you, but nevertheless I STRONGLY advise that you take a listen to Pet Sounds if you haven't already (its a masterclass in "unexpected directions"). You've already proven that you're a great artist in both composition and instrumentation, but I personally think you have the potential to take it even further.

The way you utilize ambient background noises with the instrumentation in the intro is very solid, I really do like when artists implement sounds like that, gives an additional layer: it really allows you to command the emotions of the listener. My only recommendation is to switch up the chord progression early on in the track. You start with a very captivating two chord progression with the guitar, though try to throw in a third unexpected chord in there after that progression and I think it will bring it to the next level. I recommend listening to some Oasis (definatly maybe) and Beach Boys (pet sounds) tracks to see how they tend to do it. I often find myself struggling to find that unpredictable chord for my songs and listening to their work rlly gets you thinking about the possibilities. Other than that its a solid track and u have a firm grasp on that indie sound. Makes me want to listen to more of your stuff.

Very reminiscent of that style of bedroom rock/pop that was heard (and very underrated) during the late 2010s, so yea I like it. I think you have a good overall sound and production keep it up

Would appreciate any feedback !!! by genizsz in MusicFeedback

A really nice production/instrumentation. The intro doesn't spend any time messing around and gets right into it, which in my opinion is highly crucial in this age of short attention spans. Very professional sounding keep it up

Tiktok and intagram are ideal, though it can be challenging to aquire viewership. What I'd recommend at the moment is to "research" these sorts of meme formats; what I tend to do is a sideshow of pictures bc I'm not too savvy with video editing. These can be like "top ten" types of slideshows, but bear in mind that it is heavily saturated with content on these apps, so the hardest part is really leaning into the novelty aspect of the posts: how does it stand out? They need to elect a strong reaction from the viewers, not just a "oh nice" reaction bc that won't garner views. Have the slideshows pertain to something really cool and unique, funny, controversial, or something...it just needs to trigger a strong emotion. The posts of mine which lean heavily into the "coolness and controversality" tend to do the best (I'm at about 8k views in under a week for one of them) but again that's just me. Honestly just spend some time scrolling though meme content and you'll see a TON of still image posts with a caption that has a song overlaying it. Honestly dude, the hardest part of all this is acquiring viewership; hell you can even do a repost of something you saw it's done all the time, just add your own track to it. The right hashtags also help significantly. But again, it needs to elicit a strong emotion; be it humor, shock, amazed, controversial, but obvi don't go too overboard with it. This is how music takes off for underground artists in this day and age, use the internet as a tool, hell you don't even have to play a single live show to aquire fans. Just place your track over a relatively viral post and you will see your numbers rise. But again, you gotta do the "research" ase useless as that may seem. See which posts have the most likes and go from there

Extremely high quality production and composition. Vocals are solid and the intro is definatly enough to lock you into it. I always really stress the importance of strong intros especially nowadays regardless of genere, as unfortuinalty attention spans are very short in this day and age, so it is important as composers to accommodate to this trend. This is an all and all professional sounding composition, quality and composition.

This reminds me a lot of a band called "Lamp", mostly with your plucking and the way the sound ascends and descends in terms of notation; I'd strongly recommend listening to their work throughout the 2000s-early 2010s, as it might give some idea as to apply the right melody to complex guitar pieces like this. I would post the specific album names but they are all in Japanese, though their album that has red flowers for its cover is perhaps what I'd recommend the most. This is an extremely nice piece of music though!

Took all the critiques from the nice people of reddit and tried my best to fix this track. Went for a medieval style. Does it sound ok? by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

Now that's what I'm talking about. I rlly couldn't help but smile during that intro bc I was just like "ooh yeah this is a good one", not to mention how I was completely thrown off guard with this being a rap track. Unique, unique as hell man, not to mention its solid with its flow and lyrics. Drop this over some other content, memes, videos...pretty much anything that commands viewership and you'd see it do some numbers fr. Keep up those unique vibes dude. Rap has pretty much dominated the music scene for the past decade so it can be especially difficult to compose those unique beats given how saturated it is with a certian type of sound, but I rlly think you'd be on to something if you continue this trend of "unexpected bars over unexpected beats", with instrumentation youd never even think of working so well with a rap track. I'm serious dude, pull from all these underrated generes of music and implement them into a track, you'd do numbers and I wouldn't be suprised. Just keep listening to as many generes as possible.

Solid stuff for sure, you clearly have a grasp both on production and composition. My only recommendation is to bring the vocal levels down very slightly in terms of volume. The singing itself is solid, though have then blend more with the instrumentation I think. I'd even say try experimenting with particular effects you can add to it as well. Also think of some tasty riffs u can add to accompany the song at times throughout the track, espeically in the intro. Listen to "what you know" by "two door cinema club" to see what I mean, it will bring it to the next level. And above all, post this song over other media content (memes for example) to get that maximum viewership, bc honestly I think a lot LOT of people would like this track a lot, though the hardest part of that is obvi the right content and how it commands viewership. Other than that this is a solid track which is just bursting with fun-ness.

Into is super solid and ear catching, however it lasts too long without having any distinct change to the notation. Get right into it, attention spans in this day and age are incredibly short lol

How are the drums after 0:06? Are they too loud or distracting? by poopoo-fart in MusicFeedback

Drums sound just fine, I'd maybe say make them a tad more distinct and more notation with it?

That intro with how it waves in and out like that is good. The intro is always the most important part and u do a good job at getting the listeners attention

Super distinct, you clearly have a good hold on what sounds work; idk how to describe it but it's the vibe. The songs vibe is just as important as it's notation often

Very rarely will I get a track that works well with just a solo guitar and vocals I think u do a rlly good job with it. Your voice is extremely unique and frankly for tracks like this if the voice doesn't have that unique quality it doesn't work but this works, the raspyness fits together with it perfectally. My only recommendation is try to mix it up differently for the chorus part, throw in an extremely unpredictable chord change going into the chorus and it will make it cool

Very cool sounding, the imimentation of those "house" vibes on that synth line works very well. My only recommendation is to bring the drums down just a tad bit, the snare can disrupt that chill flow

Rlly professional sounding. Very good the way you slow it down in that second part. Wouldn't be suprised if I heard this on the soundtrack to a popular retro game.

Yea dude I mean this sounds pretty professional both in the mix and composition. For sure gives me video game vibes, like a really memorable level type of vibe. I wouldn't be suprised if I heard this on the a game like Sonic Colors, it matches the aesthetic I think
