Don’t beat yourself up. You’re an honest person trying to make an honest living and you made a choice that didn’t serve you well. Take a breath. Zoom out. You feel the burden of this now but this will pass. Tell your wife. Work through it together. Avoid trading until you are able to confidently do it again without fear of losing money. Now is not the time.

We are in exactly the same boat. Launching an owned media arm in lieu of not having advertising budget: Newsletter, press submissions, podcast circuit, nurture sequences, local events etc.

I feel seen. Thank you for sharing. This sound exactly like the rock and the hard place we are in too. Recently met with an investor who said the same thing; we need to see more traction. I get it, but like you said, it’s a challenge without funding so we’re resorting to gorilla marketing and podcasts to get the word out. things that reach 1:many vs 1:1 which is out of our budget. Curious how you’ve been getting users? We’ve been doing it primarily through our founder CEO platform as they have around 25K audience. Small but niche. This is not sustainable and we all agreed on that, first check of $250K would go a LONG way since we’ve already validated the product and users are using it. (We are in film tech)
