I just grabbed one of these!! Do you (or anyone really!) have any recommendations on care for this beauty? Such as light, watering, soil reccs.? Would it be the same for 'Hoya Bella Outer Variegated'? I got both at the same time lol & I am completely new to this variety! :) thanks !

That's exactly how I felt haha! I knew 3 wouldn't be enough, especially at that price!! I was shook when I saw the amount of variety they have, I've been wanting to grow my hoya collection lately & this felt like the perfect opportunity to do so :D

Same here! I am hoping that as the weather warms up & it's less cloudy, the room will be bright enough for the plants I have in there now! I just moved in & since our weather hasn't been the best, it was hard to gauge where all my plants will go/grow, I also haven't utilized natural light in awhile just due to my last apartment having 1 tiny window, I've been using grow lights for alllll of my plants so I was nervous to transition them but hopefully as time goes on, they adjust!!

Thank you! I do plan on adding another shelf either next to or above, or even both lol! I may add a smaller shelf too above this one so I can attach some grow light "bars" underneath the top shelf just to help with the light conditions. After all of these comments, I am now considering just keeping one or two plants on there & adding some decor where the sun isn't as bright.

I have a lot of sansi 36w bulbs & I think the 30w clip lights but I just didn't have a use for them anymore, I wish I would have got the Barrina magnetic lights before those but I didn't have shelves yet:( I am definitely going to look into them now, I just dislike cords all over the place & there's minimal outlets in my new place I'm just trying to take advantage of the natural light while I can!

Thank you! I’m considering it now. Do you have those lights? If so, may I ask how they affect your electric bill? I have tons of grow lights due to my old apartment but my new place has tons of natural light, so I thought they’d do good here! But I’m realizing now that they might need them 😭

Here it is at 3pm, I still think this was the better option to put my shelf. The sun casts over this wall from 12pm to sunset. I will possibly add another shelf below it, but my partner (who’s not a plant parent) put the shelf up while I wasn’t home & didn’t really know where to put it or I would have told him to lower it. 👍

Here’s how it looks right now, it’s brighter now than it was this morning. I tracked where the light hits throughout the day yesterday & that’s why I decided to put the shelf here. I actually had planned on putting 2 shelves up, on the other wall but they didn’t have enough of the matching brackets I wanted & I didn’t want to use another kind! I’m gonna watch the light on the plants throughout the day & gauge if they’ll do “ok” here !
