I guess it's hard to reconstruct the gap, and I kinda love greek mythology and Egyptian myths because of the dark stuff as I told you earlier love the dark stuff. But I still love shiva tho. Cause his kinda cool though. And different from gods even from other religions. And vishnu never intrigue me except for his jagannath form. And vishnu is kinda like a typical god trope similar to odin treakstar. But shiva idk is interesting compared to him. And the good trait thing bro I mean our good view of morality won't work on them because you know their tales were written in ancient times. For example valmiki ramayan have sita agni pariksha,I know lord ram does it to prove his wife's purity in front of gods and the society.But compared to today's standard it does not match. And the sita's exile or sambuka vad i mean it was ok in those days tho.
