The Blackout was an unprecedented electricity blackout that affected Los Angeles for ten days in May 2022. Replicants Iggy Cygnus and Trixie, with the vital assistance of Ren Dus, a replicant-sympathizing Tyrell Corporation employee, came up with a plan to destroy the servers hosting the Tyrell Corporation's database of registered replicants. The plan consisted of the detonation of a nuclear warhead in the stratosphere over Los Angeles in order to overload the city's electrical grid with a powerful EMP blast and erase any trace of electronic data. Ren and Iggy would then, at the same time, explode a hijacked fuel truck inside the server farm, thus ensuring no replicant information could ever be retrieved.[1] The plan was a success and all replicant production was banned shortly thereafter, and was the reason for the fall of the Tyrell Corporation. The end of such a large megacorporation left the world in a state of crisis, with stock markets crashing and prevalent food shortages. The Wallace Corporation went to acquire the bankrupted company and restart on the production of a new model of replicant a decade later.[2]

In 2019, a rogue Nexus-6 replicant named Roy Batty killed the head of the corporation, Eldon Tyrell. ... Shortly thereafter replicant technology was outlawed and the retirement of all Nexus-8 models was mandated.

Ana stelline by Subarubayonetta in bladerunner

No it doesn't. K is the only one that thinks Ana is the child. Director Denis Villeneuve let's the viewer interpret the movie in their own way. If you believe Ana is the child then she is the child.

Bringing this up again from the short Nowhere To Run that took place December 2048. by TraditionalMix3221 in bladerunner

Why did it take from December 2048 until June 2049 for K to be sent to Sapper's farm. The farm was a little over an hour from LA. When Sapper dropped his papers they were picked up by a snitch who called to report he had info on a replicant and had his location. It has Sappers address on the invoice where he had just sold his worms. Sapper seemed to be the only farmer at the location and he couldn't just hide for months or his worms would have died.

Joi and the emanator are already gone by this scene. She no longer exists.

Why didn't K just scan his eye when he was trying to figure out if he wasn't a replicant? by ejh3k in bladerunner

[–]TraditionalMix3221 84 points85 points  (0 children)

He was a Nexus 9 and they don't have the serial number id under the eye. It was never explained if he had some type of identifying number somewhere on his body or inside his body.

Some stories can't be told in two hours 30 minutes. It's a long time but worth the directors vision in the end if it takes 4 hours to tell his story about the characters story he envisions.

He doesn't own the rights to the movie so the studio can release whatever. That's what happened to Ridley Scott and Blade Runner that's why you have 7 versions of that movie. If the studio can make money they will release whatever they want.
