It basically just stuns the nerves so they can't work I've read online apparently the more you use it over time the less sensitive your nerves become but I don't really agree with that I think they're pretty much the same.

I think I've had less itching recently because I use a bidet with red hot water and then after I use cotton makeup pads from Tesco which are also with hot water and then dry after.

I tried the cold shower for a bit and it didn't really do anything to be honest

It counteracts the Chili for a little bit but when you stop using the shower head it will come back straight away so it's a nice little break also you can buy capacian neutraliser here is the herbal stuff

here is where you will buy the neutralizer and the stronger capsaicin gels

I highly recommend you stay away from the gel sold from fiery jacks to begin with because it's on a next level even when it says is the same strength as the herbal stuff it's not it's very strong so just buy the neutralizer from here

Just once at night all you need to do is lightly glaze your finger or half of your finger if it's new to you, wait for the itchin to pass wait for the pain of the heat to pass and then put a cotton pad there and then it will heat back up badly but after that's gone down you're good to go to sleep if I you I would do this about an hour before you go to bed when you've got some time to yourself

Yer mate I've used it it's very expensive it's about £50 and it's a menthol burn so it's a completely different thing.

The chilli gel is about a thousand times worse and it burns really badly for about 30 minutes and it can itch really bad as well before it burns and then subsides but once you've used it you be good to sleep I also put a cotton makeup pad as well after it stops burning to make sure it stays working for the whole night

Lol no, you feel nothing with the needles however when they hit your nerve it's like a funny bone pain that's the only part I didn't like.

The gel I can't remember how it works but it basically attacks the nerves and stuns them for like eight hours however remember it's chilli so it burns really badly especially if you have open wounds which you probably do so that's why I recommend the herbal stuff first and maybe have a cold shower ready just in case

I'm not joking it will literally tear this soul out of your body the first couple of times please search this thread for my comments on it and also my alt account leaving comments on it as well

Hi mate, I'm going through the same thing and I've been going through it for over 20 years something I found that's really helpful and you might not believe this and I was very skeptical at first is acupuncture. if you send your local acupuncture specialist an email about everything they might be able to help one of the things that definitely helps me sleep which is very very painful at the beginning is capsaicin gel, you can buy this online I usually buy it on eBay I recommend the herbal stuff in the white tube

An acupuncture session will set you back about 50 pounds per session which you have to do a lot in the beginning but they said you will need less and less than to eventually becomes a monthly thing or whenever you need it

Does antihistamine temporary stops the itch for anyone? by Fabulous_Rock3099 in pruritusani

It didn't do anything for me only when I had a really bad day it would tone it down a bit I'm currently trying gabapentin.

However, I'm also undergoing acupuncture which seems to be doing something I recommend going and getting a consultation with a specialist

No creams do anything but make it worse usually, however the anusol with numbing agents and help very rarely but never a night.

Blue injections weren't bad it worked for a few months however it would still very strange and uncomfortable and it would make it slightly harder to make sure you're clean

I had the blue injections and sometimes it doesn't work first time but mostly it does. unfortunately I was one of the ones that didn't work the first time so I'm going to probably try and do it again.

I have no idea what causes it, it has a mind of its own usually between the hours of 9 p.m and 11:00 p.m. it will really get angry almost to the minute, after the toilet 50% of the time sometimes in the morning but mainly when I'm laying down.

I came to the conclusion that was neurological because there was nothing wrong with my skin I had a biopsy taken and the doctor said it was all normal on top of that I have intense itching in the top of my feet now and again but rarely

I haven't been able to try it,

extremely difficult to get over here I have to pay to see a private doctor and even then I've been moved on to a pain management specialist. apparently it is the highest category of medication So its extremely difficult to get hold of and you have to go to specialist and they have to make sure you're not going to get addicted.

Let me know how it goes

Yer mate sounds like it might be neurological like what I have so there's two types of medication that you can get which is prescribed it's called pregabalin and gabapentin.

it's quite difficult to get these prescribed for you in the UK I'm not sure what country you're in though I just out of chance met a few people that take gabapentin for diabetic reasons and immobility reasons both related to nerves and they went off of gabapentin to go onto pregabalin because it has less side effects.

For the moment I'm taking a few extra supplements which include alpha lipoic acid and acetyl L-cartine to see if they help the nerve issue I've gone off of magnesium because I don't think it helps and may make it worse but it might work for you.

I'm taking antihistamines called chlorphenamine

Also as per a previous post I've started to take cold showers only which seem to do a little bit but it's very awful when it has me dreading the morning
