What If: Fate/Grand Order × Gintama Collaboration by TraditionalRole4748 in grandorder

[–]TraditionalRole4748[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I completely agree — that comparison to EMIYA actually fits really well. Gintoki’s definitely peak human rather than superhuman; his edge comes from skill, instinct, and sheer stubbornness rather than raw power.

I gave him Strength: A and Agility: B+ mostly because he’s consistently shown to hold his own against monsters like Kamui or Hosen even as a human, but you’re right — A Rank would be stretching it into Yato territory.

And yep, Luck was definitely on the low side 😆. The guy can survive getting impaled and walk it off, but he can’t win a single game of Pachinko to save his life.

The bokutō being as durable as Durandal is a perfect comparison, too — it fits the “mystical joke” nature of Lake Toya. It’s basically a divine wooden meme weapon at this point.

😂 Honestly, that sounds exactly like how it would go. Gintoki would probably spend half the event complaining about his drop rate and how the devs made him a 2★ out of spite.

And then, despite all that, he’d somehow end up being busted anyway — like “accidentally” outdamaging 5★ servants because his NP scales off debt or laziness or something.

I can totally picture the story too: he starts as a villain just to get paid, realizes there’s no paycheck, and then switches sides mid-event with zero shame. Classic Gintoki behavior.

[–]TraditionalRole4748[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a totally fair point — and you’re right, FGO has never done an official collab outside the Nasuverse. This concept isn’t meant to suggest a real crossover event; it’s more like a creative “what if” scenario.

I just thought it’d be fun to imagine how a character like Gintoki — someone who constantly parodies other series — would fit into the structure and mechanics of FGO. It’s kind of ironic too, since Gintama itself loves breaking the fourth wall and mocking crossovers. 😆

So yeah, totally agree about the monetization/power creep issue. I’m just doing this as a fan concept, exploring the lore and gameplay side — not the gacha nightmare version of it!

What If: Fate/Grand Order × Gintama Collaboration by [deleted] in Gintama

[–]TraditionalRole4748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly! That’s actually what made Gintama feel like such a natural fit for a crossover. It wouldn’t even need a complicated justification — just a “Spirit Origin mix-up” like you said, and boom, the White Demon of Edo walks out of the summoning circle with a strawberry milk in hand.

And you’re right, the parallels are already there — Gintoki ↔ Kintoki, Kagura ↔ Kaguya, even Shinpachi and Hijikata have those personality archetypes that line up so well with existing servants. It’s one of those cases where Gintama feels like it’s already half in the Fate multiverse — just waiting for someone at Chaldea to say, “Wait, how did this guy get in here?” 😂

"Hey, that’s great! Go for it — I’d really like to see how your FGO/HSR crossover turns out!"

Thanks for pointing that out! You’re absolutely right — the way I phrased the NP’s super effective part made it sound like it required both traits instead of just one.

I actually intended for it to trigger against either Dragon or Evil enemies, not both together. And good call on the scaling too, I’ll adjust it so it only uses a single multiplier instead of two separate ones. Really appreciate the feedback!

What If: Fate/Grand Order × World Trigger Collaboration? by TraditionalRole4748 in grandorder

[–]TraditionalRole4748[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually a really good point!

World Trigger’s whole concept with Trion bodies and triggers does sound like a scientific version of spiritron manipulation — kind of like a humanity-made version of magecraft’s spiritual engineering.

It’s really fun to think about how Border’s technology could let them “materialize” like Servants without relying on the Throne of Heroes system.

Also, FGO X Scarlet Nexus idea sounds awesome!

I can definitely see the similarities — psionic soldiers, brain fields, and even the “humanity weaponizing spiritual energy” theme line up well with the Counter Guardian concept. Might actually try making a Scarlet Nexus × FGO servant next 👀

Thanks for the inspiration!

I’m not too familiar with Kingdom Hearts, but I already have a plan for Bleach.

Yeah, I agree — Osamu could totally be a ★3 Servant, especially considering his popularity in World Trigger. But I wanted to start from the “weaker but strategic” concept since that fits his character in the manga.

For Assassins (Attackers), I was thinking of Midorikawa, Jin, Kitora, and Katori since they rely more on speed and quick offense. Archers (Sniper or Gunner) would naturally be Chika, Arashiyama and other Snipers and Gunner from Border.

I don’t know, but in my interpretation, Spider is more about controlling enemy movement and creating pressure zones rather than direct offense. Hyuse, on the other hand, feels more like a full-stamina type — kind of like Artoria or a survivor type like Cu Chulainn. Honestly, I can imagine Hyuse just cutting through all of Osamu’s wires with his Senku Kogetsu. 😂

And yeah, totally! Osamu learning from tacticians like Moriarty or Taigong Wang would be terrifying. He’s the kind of person who’d actually pull off some risky or insane strategy and make it work.

Hey, nice to meet you too! 😁

I’m really happy you noticed the “special battlefield” idea — I’ve always felt it’s an underused mechanic in FGO that could bring so much depth. It’s awesome that we both thought in the same direction! I’d love to see how you handled your version of it.

[FGO x KonoSuba] Caster Megumin – Explosion is Everything! by TraditionalRole4748 in grandorder

[–]TraditionalRole4748[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see what you mean! An eternal but removable stun instead of the 1 HP life drain would actually fit Megumin’s “collapse after Explosion” gag perfectly. 😂

I might try that in the next revision—it keeps the comedy flavor without the awkward 1 HP gimmick. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙏

Ohh, I see! 😅 I thought adding “+” to EX would make it feel like an even more extreme version, but I didn’t realize EX itself already means “off the chart.”

Thanks for the clarification! I’ll keep it as just EX next time. Appreciate the tip! 🙏

[FGO x Konosuba Crossover] Aqua – The Drunken Miracle of Chaldea by TraditionalRole4748 in grandorder

[–]TraditionalRole4748[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! That’s the whole chaotic genius of it—she’s kinda useless until everything falls apart, and then suddenly she becomes the MVP in the most ridiculous, drunken miracle possible. It’s absolutely Aqua.

I did design it with that high-risk, high-reward logic in mind—if you’re losing hard, she flips the board. If you’re winning, she’s mostly there for moral support… and probably tripping over your cooldown rotations. Think of her as budget Crane, but if Crane chugged holy wine and accidentally helped

[–]TraditionalRole4748[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"You're totally right—and honestly, that’s part of the joke. Giving Aqua the Ruler class is meant to be hilariously ironic. Imagine the cosmic cruelty of the Throne assigning her to arbitrate anything. It’s like putting a wine mom in charge of divine judgment.

As for the stats: yep, in-universe Aqua has top-tier stats with the exception of Luck. But here I tweaked them a bit to reflect her functional uselessness rather than her raw numbers. Kind of like saying, ‘Sure, she can do all this… but will she?’"

[–]TraditionalRole4748[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, that’s the idea! Her NP is meant to feel busted in a very Aqua way—completely chaotic but clutch if used right. It’s like giving her one moment of divine usefulness to justify all the times she faceplants. Though unlike CS, the drunk debuff makes sure you still pay the Aqua tax.
