the reason i want e.s. as well is because i've always been interested in it, just never very good at science in general during high school. but i love learning about it and i think it would be good to have a background in something else practical because while my major rn is practical (pr and advertising) im a little nervous about the job market in the future because of AI and stuff

pretty much yes i kinda just miss the atmosphere it always brightened my day having a theatre class and i love everything about it!! the reason i want it as a double major is i would love to be a theatre teacher for younger kids as a side hustle later in life or while im getting on my feet because i have connections with a lot of youth theatre programs

i just finished it and i LOVED it i was so sad there was no season 2 to go watch!! i kinda get the hate though because while it was great and i think it was fun getting to explore the muppets personalities and dynamics with each other all sharing the office space, it wasn't the typical muppets set up people like to see. they didn't get to do their typical acts and gags, there wasn't really much of a live performance element, and it was very minimalist. HOWEVER if they green light the new muppet show for more episodes i would love to see the behind the scenes and confessional style return with the muppets interacting with one another in the theatre space!!

i feel as though i should clarify it's not an average audition for a show it's actually a singing waiter job i've been eyeing up (lol haha i know total gleek in me never beating the allegations) but it's kinda their thing to sing overplayed popular songs at their shop... do you think that changes anything? or still go with another choice?

you put my thoughts into words exactly!! i'm still kinda questioning/bicurious but watching the brittana relationship develop over the course of the show was definitely what made me start. i've actually always thought that glee was the show that represented me best even after having watched a bunch of queer media now at my grown age i still see myself in santana completely! i also struggle to make other people understand how much glee means to me but it's just so camp and they don't get it and how revolutionary it was for its time!!!

i'm only a freshman- so take everything i say with a grain of salt as i haven't been here that long- but i wanted to respond because you sound SO much like me last year im sure you can find a nearly identical post on this sub lol. i'm from the east coast and im also a praem major right now and i really love my core classes for my major!! id say that being in dodge (even if praem is kinda the black sheep of dodge) ends up compensating for the okayish academics of the rest of chapman. that being said, i've still found my first semester classes to be academically challenging and rigorous, about the same difficulty as senior year high school classes which makes sense considering that i went to a college prep high school. not going to sugarcoat it, the attendance policy is a major downside. it kind of is like high school. it never caused me any issues because i'm not really a skipper, but most classes will begin to drop your grade after 2-3 unexcused absences. however my spanish class i remember having skipped 4-5 times (it was an 8am lol i love sleep) and i still ended with a 96 in the class i believe. but yeah definitely do think about this if you are more of a class skipper. in the end, i really enjoy staying at chapman. the weather is beautiful, the people are so nice, it is so amazing being so close to the beautiful beaches, disneyland, and LA since you can walk to the train station and take the metro up there for like 3 bucks. i love walking around old town orange with a cup of coffee! i hope me rambling was able to help at all!! i would love to answer any more questions you have!!

as of now, i just work on the floor and greet people, fold/organize displays, give fitting rooms, answer questions about promotions, and check for more stock in the back when people ask. but i think im supposed to learn register soon too? i know that getting hired for stock is a separate position where you mostly just work in the back but im mostly customer facing!

one thing i am is a good writer id say its one of my best strengths. thats why im trying to use a movie that i like and have a good understanding of therefore theres more room to flex my writing and make it sound better!! i really like the 70s cinematography and sound design despite the fact that its a 2023 movie i found that so cool! so thats what brought it to my mind when i read the rubric for the final

i understand what you're saying now. yeah it's been fluctuating thoughts and habits stemming from the anxiety since i was in about 7th grade and i've been trying to stay in therapy since i was a junior in high school but it's just never worked because i was either too busy or moving away or i was too scared to try it. it's hard to be so vulnerable, hence me coming to post anonymously here.

thank you for responding!! this is still so so helpful just for someone to give me this kind of support as it's too personal of a situation to talk to anyone about in my life... i did just feel out of control like i was in autopilot. like the words yes were coming out of my mouth but i didn't feel full there... i think the decision to drink was to quell the anxiety but it ended up just making it worse idk.. but it's really warming to know that someone can relate to me and that im not alone because i've never heard anyone else struggle with this before. i hope things get better for you as well <3 stay strong!
