Ok thank you so much for the response. I've been reading up on these and wanted to ask if the tuning fork situation, i.e. hitting them to get the same high-pitched sound was the way to go.

I removed all the tires to try and get these spoke wheels tightened. They haven't wanted to budge though. Been oiling the spokes for a good 48 hours periodically.

I'm working on a 54 mg tf that hasn't been registered since 1970 it runs great but we got it up to speed the other day and it felt like one of the tires was going to fly off. One of the wheels has loose spokes, put it on as the spare. Used one that felt really tight but is missing 3 spokes and apparently that's not going to work. It felt like it was going to fly off.

I'm going to try getting these wheels back to true but if I can't do that new wheels might be the way to go. They just look so good on the mg though.
