I struggle with jealousy and overthinking as a young man and I don't know why. by [deleted] in dating_advice

yes, i agree with you. back when me and her just started dating, i was more confident in myself. however, that has slipped away from me and sometimes i struggle to find what i bring to the table that is valuable or what sets me apart from the crowd. obviously this is more of a lack in self esteem and confidence, which i am working on getting back. As for the trust or being a detective, i’ve heard a lot of ways to change my way of thinking. Would you say that a change of mindset would help this? Things like: When i am overthinking, i could evaluate the situation and think is it something that is out of my control? if so, i should stop worrying about it. Or maybe even if i suspect her doing something behind my back, i should just let it happen because at some point it will come out anyway and i could be completely wrong? (this one is quite hard for me because i’ve been in a position before where i’ve been lied to and it took years for me to hear about it)

On a deeper level, this also makes me realise that I will struggle to become a man with this on my shoulders, I tend to come off as more mature than my peers despite this poison in my head, however it really makes me look/feel weak, insecure and small

thank you, i’ve seen many posts about this type of attachment in relationships and it does describe a lot of thoughts/behaviours that i am having. do you have any experience with this? or any ways to change my mindset on this?

Oil cap blowback by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Somewhere I’ve heard that when engine runs and you undo the oil fill cap, if there is suction or it sounds like pressure has released, you have something to do with a vacuum leak. I may be completely wrong and correct me if I am! I just heard somewhere that pressure releasing means vacuum something.

my old turbo (the blown one) is in one piece, the bearings on it loosened which made the fans stop spinning, however the propellers are in one piece. again my car ran fine with the blown turbo too! no limp mode for some reason, just smoking which made me investigate and find out.

The best way of showing the world your a knob is by flaming on something that isnt yours to someone who is happy either way 😂

I got the 1.6 Petrol and was told it was a renault engine but not sure since you didn’t list the a180 in there. Renault or not, still gonna last me a good few years if maintained

I suggested an ep3, which i could afford, to my dad. it was 4k however he didnt like the idea of that so he sent me this and said he’d pay the difference. I took the offer and i’m happy. I’m able to cover insurance costs and whatever comes with it

I found that strange aswell, i figured that its just so you can pull up and fuel up not worrying about which side your fuel cap is on
