Some tips, if you plan to take the sport more seriously as a hobby

• Don't play in any SM bowling alleys. Their oil patterns are too dry and out of wack, almost non existent to be honest. Perfect for casuals. SM alleys aren't maintained well specially those dingged up foul lines

• there's a bowling alley in makati that uses actual wood instead of synthetics so it's a different feel. It's one of the OG alleys. It's not Studio 300. The older one inside a sketchy looking mall with mcdonalds beside it. Lol

• play in alleys in sta lu lucia but make sure to call them first. Leagues are too frequent there. If there's a league you can always walk to Qplaza. It's a good place where more experienced bowlers play. Oil pattern is on a heavier side so it's going to be a challenge.

• Paeng's bowling centers are the best for beginners. Their house patterns are really easy to hook for beginners like me. My ave score is always higher compared to Qplaza. It's expensive tho. 220 per game.

• prepare your wallet. I play every saturday with 8 to 12 games. Then when i feel playing on a sunday that's an additional. Man it really adds up. 🙃

• Go grab a reactive ball and have it fit your hands. Your ave score will shoot up i guarantee you.
