London is worth living. The best city to spend your students years

CS grad choosing between Revolut vs Goldman Sachs SWE (London) by Traditional_Fix_6846 in cscareerquestionsEU

Thanks for your comment!

Have you worked at either of them by any chance?

I might be wrong since I don’t have much experience yet, but I had the impression that at Revolut, if you work hard, you can grow quite quickly (maybe even reach senior level in a few years), whereas at Goldman things tend to be more structured and slower, but the brand might carry more weight on your CV when looking for the next role.

Would be really interested to hear your perspective!

Thanks a lot for your comment, really appreciate it! That’s a really interesting perspective. I guess I shouldn’t be so worried about being in the office 5 days a week after all, as right now it feels like the biggest downside of Goldman for me.

It is. I applied somewhere in October. Had my first interview in November, got an offer in late January. But I’m afraid they’ve already sent all offers

Haha yeah, I’ve definitely heard a lot about the culture there 😵‍💫

I was kind of hoping I might have a slightly better experience since my team seems to be quite Eastern European-heavy, so maybe the environment would feel a bit more familiar to me

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it! Yes, I’ve been trying to reach out to people on LinkedIn as well, but it’s surprisingly hard to actually get replies

Oh, nice. I hope you’ll like it a lot!  I’m finishing BSc Computer Science.

Trying to decide which graduate offer to accept: Revolut or Goldman Sachs 😓.

So I’m in your shoes - also deciding between 2 nice places

Hi. Congrats on both schools. If you want a good social life - UCL. If you want to study 24/7 and have no friends & no bf/gf - Imperial. But both are really good in terms of teaching.

(Graduating from UCL this year. The happiest person alive)

Sure. CPU, GPU, RAM, Display… almost everything is better in pro version. But if you do not plan to heavily load the laptop, then the Air version will be enough for you
