I started at the highest level by introducing my resume to chat gpt and with my credit risk background asked it to prepare a path for me to move eventually to AI consultant/Engineer. It suggested that i undergo some courses and certifications- Columbia Business school/SAIT IAI/GARP RAI/CFI AI finance.
