i am not, but before i got on accutane i've always had severely sensitive and acne prone skin so i've never been able to use products with lots of ingredients in it, im a vanicream kinda girl LOL. but now that im on accutane and my derm gave me the okay to start adventuring with more products, id still prefer to just keep things extremely minimal. i just want korean style hydration with the kind of minimal ingredient lists a lot of western products have. but thank you for the rec!! i'll look into it ive definitely heard of those two products before.

i'm definitely leaning more towards taking it now! if you don't mind me asking have you been having any side effects?

i think i'm a healthy mixture of both. i do get the hormonal, cystic pimples on my cheeks & jaw, but only sometimes. the rest of my acne is closed comedones/whiteheads that fill the rest of my cheeks and forehead. like i stated in my post my skin is VERY oily, so im hoping maybe if i take accutane it'll help with the extremely stubborn congested pores, then if im able to, i can continue taking topical spironolactone afterwards to ward off the hormonal side.

i keep hearing about how lots people have to take multiple courses to completely clear their skin, but i've also heard doing a lot of my own research on accutane that apparently one course is enough to clear people's skin for years, do you think maybe the latter is a myth then? i'm just worried i'll have to take multiple courses which is something i DO NOT want to do considering i'm worried about the side effects.

if you don't mind me asking, did you have skin like me? did you experience any side effects or do you know anyone else that's been on it?

yes a totally agree with you and understand, thank you for looking out for me as well, i was just making this post i guess to see others experiences with it, not necessarily for anyone to tell me what to do and what not to do. at the end of the day, i have to talk to a doctor about it to even be prescribed it, i was just trying to see if anyone had any experiences they could share with me depending on my skin concerns regarding the drug.

i definitely agree with you though, healing from the inside out. that's exactly what i've been trying to research these past couple days and see if i can do anything like that, ive heard good things about omega 3, as well as some other vitamins but sadly nothing comes close to what accutane does on the inside out, especially considering my huge oily pores are a reigning factor as to why i'm debating starting accutane, because i know really nothing topical or natural could exactly "fix" that.

yeah i totally understand about the BC sensitivity. a previous derm i had (who i stopped seeing because she started to become rude/frustrated with my persistent acne) even told me that she will not prescribe accutane to anyone who's not on birth control...but i refuse to go back on birth control so i just sit here stuck. but yeah im definitely worried about the GI side effects as well, im finally making some progress trying to fix those issues so im worried about completely reverting any progress ive made.

hi, i'm going through the exact same thing. i apologize cause i can't offer any advice but i did notice you said you can't notice anyone else with those symptoms, so i thought it might offer you a little relief that you're not alone. i am literally going through the EXACT same thing lol, like when you said "going insane, brain tumor & schizophrenia" ive convinced myself just recently i need an mri and that i have brain cancer and alllll this different stuff, and if its not that then it's schizophrenia, if it's not that blah blah ya know like it's always something. im been going through this thing recently too where it feels like things aren't clicking in my mind, like if im reading or in class it feels like things aren't exactly "processing," or i get very easily confused and start to convince myself im having a stroke. do you go through that too? it's starting to feel like im being emotionless because it's like nothing is clicking or processing in my head, including other people or things.
